Ein Rahmen, um Ihre Geschichte zu feiern
Die vollständige Vorstellung
The Maison de l’Énergie is located at the Pôle Yvon Morandat, 1480 avenue d’Arménie in Gardanne. Established on the former mining site, it provides two hundred square metres of exhibitions and educational modules devoted to energy. The venue links the history of coal to current challenges, from fossil fuels to geothermal energy and photovoltaic generation. The site has been converted to energy production, giving visitors a tangible connection between the historical setting and the subjects explored during their visit.
This educational facility belongs to Énergie Solidaire, a subsidiary of Semag. The Gardanne tourist office organises visits and announces guided tours, children’s workshops, activities and conferences throughout the year. The themes introduce the scientific concept of energy, its production and use, and the relationship between human activity and energy resources. The programme welcomes groups and schools, which can work with the team to prepare an educational visit suited to their participants and interests.
Groups of ten or more can visit throughout the year with advance booking. Individual visitors attend scheduled sessions published in the events calendar and must register beforehand. A guided visit lasts approximately ninety minutes. Sessions are advertised for 31 October, 11 December and 22 December 2026, among other dates. Bookings must be completed no later than the day before the visit, at the tourist office reception desk or through its online ticketing service.
The published individual price is €7, with a €5 reduced rate for eligible visitors. Groups and schools should request their specific conditions from the organiser. These amounts relate to the guided visit; arrangements for a different educational format or a conference should be discussed directly with the responsible team. Parking is listed on site, and the guided visit is described as suitable for people with reduced mobility.
