In Champeaux, Seine-et-Marne, Château d’Aunoy offers exclusive wedding hire at an 18th-century residence surrounded by an English-style park. An event can combine an outdoor symbolic ceremony, drinks reception and dinner beneath the orangery-style marquee. The estate helps with planning and recommends suppliers while allowing an outside caterer. It also hosts birthdays, christenings, family gatherings and corporate events.

Spaces, capacities and indoor backup

The official website describes a 500 m² event area: three lounges measuring 45–65 m², a patio and timber courtyard terrace connected to a heated orangery-style marquee. Advertised maximum: 300 seated in one space, depending on layout; a layout allowing dancing is described for 250. Published marquee areas range from 300 to 350 m² depending on the boundaries measured. Capacities are not additive. An enclosed 18-hectare park includes a large lawn, greenhouse, kitchen garden, ornamental structures, icehouse and water features; arrange child supervision and an agreed wet-weather plan.

Rooms and layout details

Plans and areas differ with configuration: capacities are not additive and 300 with a dance floor is not guaranteed.

Suites and preparations

Seven on-site rooms/suites sleep 14 adults, including a honeymoon suite with terrace; private bathrooms are advertised. Accommodation allows preparations in the main château and use of two lounges for photographs depending on the package. It is not automatically included in venue hire: specify nights, linen, breakfast, check-in/out and accessibility in the contract. Nearby accommodation is not added to the château’s 14 beds.

Catering, menus and drinks

Outside caterers are allowed; recommended partners are not compulsory. Depending on the supplier, options include seated meals, cocktails, buffets, barbecues or a single main dish. Menus can be tailored; agree vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, lactose-free or other dietary options with the caterer, without assuming certification or allergen safety. An outside cake is advertised without surcharge. A fully equipped private kitchen is not confirmed. Children’s meals, brunch, staff, cleaning and tableware inventory require separate pricing unless expressly included. Bringing drinks is advertised without corkage. Some packages include soft drinks; this does not imply that wine, champagne or spirits are generally included. Confirm quantities, service, ice, glassware, open bar and any caterer conditions in the quotation.

Prices: distinguish hire from packages

Figures consulted on 15 October 2026, subject to a new quotation: venue-only hire €6,500–12,800, varying with weekday/weekend, extra day and accommodation; furniture is included but an unpriced handling/tidying fee is compulsory. An older weekday indication from €5,000 is not guaranteed. Catering: €50–120 per person. Package €160–200 per person, minimum 80: exclusive hire, furniture, tableware, cocktail reception, dinner, soft drinks, maître d’hôtel and planning support; DJ, music, magic and flowers are extra. Total package €18,000–22,000 for 100 guests: comparable services with DJ and floral decoration included. A separate menu at €100 excluding VAT per person includes 8–10 cocktail bites, two live food stations, aperitif drinks in dispensers, starter/main/cheese/dessert, unlimited soft drinks and maître d’hôtel. This differs from the presentation offering 14 cocktail bites: do not combine them. Confirm the rate year, VAT except for the explicitly VAT-exclusive menu, seasons, durations and availability; no price is guaranteed for a future date. The €160–200 per-person package specifies a minimum of 80 guests. The €18,000–22,000 total package covers 100 included guests. These figures do not establish a universal minimum for venue-only hire. Catering at €50–120 per person mentions an unspecified minimum. Advertised 50–300 guest ranges indicate event size, not contractual minimums shared by every offer.

Payment and contract

Wedding information consulted on 15 October 2026 lists one third on signing and the balance one month before the wedding; confirm this in the current quotation. Damage deposit, insurance, cancellation, postponement, overtime and refund terms are not precisely published. A booking advance is not the same as a refundable damage deposit. Payment methods are not precisely published for venue hire; obtain contractual arrangements and payment details directly from the estate.

Times and exclusive use

Reception finish is listed as 4am the following day in wedding information consulted on 15 October 2026. Agree setup, dismantling, outdoor music and key handover times in the contract. One corporate presentation mentions closure during the last two weeks of December and the first week of January: confirm availability for your date; visitor opening hours are not wedding-hire hours. Each hire is offered on an exclusive-use basis with personalised support; only one event per day is advertised. Exact boundaries and access to the main château, preparation lounges, suites and park depend on the chosen package. A symbolic ceremony can take place in the park, including beneath the large plane tree; a legally binding civil ceremony or a religious service at Champeaux collegiate church requires its own arrangements and permissions.

Other events and equipment

Seminars, conferences, management meetings, product launches, corporate parties and team building complement wedding hire. Starlink internet, microphones, sound equipment and a large mobile LCD screen are advertised for meetings. The three lounges have advertised ceiling heights of 3.30 m. The main area can host a conference for 300; the main-château experience is limited to 40 daytime participants and 7 residential participants in individual occupancy. All corporate packages are tailored, with no confirmed public rate. Quoted activities with facilitators include orienteering, escape games, sports challenges, yoga, painting, cocktail, wine or pastry workshops. Corporate furniture, technical equipment, entertainment and meals are not automatically included in wedding hire. Outdoor areas remain subject to weather and the agreed safety plan.

Access, pets and practical checks

Road access via the A5, Saint-Germain-Laxis exit; arrange a transfer from Verneuil-l’Étang or Mormant depending on your route. Advertised driving times of about 50 minutes from Paris or Roissy and 40 minutes from Orly depend on traffic. The event area is advertised as step-free and wheelchair accessible; check toilets, park routes and suite access during a visit.
