A château wedding near Calais
Château de Cocove is a wedding venue in Recques-sur-Hem, in the Pas-de-Calais countryside near Calais. The eighteenth-century château stands within an 11-hectare park with mature trees. Reception spaces, a restaurant and accommodation share the estate, making it possible to arrange several parts of a celebration in one setting.
Reception spaces
The glasshouse is the venue’s principal space for larger receptions. It accommodates up to 180 guests while retaining a dance floor, or up to 200 guests when the dance area is removed. For a smaller gathering, the Comte de Coëtlogon salons welcome up to 40 people. The restaurant can accommodate 80 guests when booked for exclusive use. These capacities refer to individual layouts and should be discussed in relation to the planned event.
The park provides settings for welcome drinks and photographs around the château and orchards. Symbolic wedding ceremonies can take place beneath the mature trees, with practical arrangements and weather alternatives to be agreed during the planning process. The glasshouse’s extensive glazing connects the reception with the surrounding gardens.
Accommodation and planning your stay
Accommodation consists of 22 rooms in the château and three pavilions in the park. Subject to availability and the booking package, some guests can therefore stay on the estate after the reception. The restaurant serves homemade cuisine, and the team can discuss reception menus as part of a tailored quotation.
Secure parking is available, and the estate can be reached from Calais via the A26. When contacting the château, provide the preferred date, guest numbers, accommodation requirements and the spaces you would like to use. Exclusive-use arrangements, event timings and the food and drink proposal can then be confirmed together.
