Château de Courtalain

A privately hired historic estate for private and business events

Château de Courtalain, in Vald’Yerre, Eure-et-Loir, hosts private and business groups with exclusive use of the site. The official offer covers weddings, birthdays, baptisms and retirement parties, as well as seminars, meetings, training courses, congresses, study days, management committees, product launches, business meals and team building. The estate spans 385 hectares, including 200 hectares of landscaped parkland around the château and its outbuildings.

Rooms and capacities

Two large reception rooms and four meeting rooms are advertised. For private events, the two main rooms officially host 50 to 300 guests: the Orangerie and Salle des Rois. An 80 sqm children’s room appears in some packages. The 2027 brochure includes basic tables and chairs for up to 80 guests in Salle des Rois; beyond that, furniture and layout must be confirmed. Capacities are not combined.

On-site accommodation

The website advertises 29 bedrooms and four cottages. The 29 bedrooms provide 65 beds in the 2027 brochure; the full estate with the four cottages reaches 104 guests. Room allocation, linen, breakfast, check-in/out, supplements and accessibility must be specified in the contract.

Catering, ceremony and event flow

Choice of caterer is free. The brochure suggests professionals for guidance, advertises no corkage charge and specifies a 50-guest minimum for its 2027 catering examples. Civil or religious marriage on site is stated, and the official page also mentions secular ceremonies. Rooms, parkland and accommodation support an indoor-outdoor flow, but the rain plan, outdoor sound, security and decoration rules require confirmation.

Detailed 2027 rates

The following 2027 prices are published inclusive of tax: Saturday, Orangerie alone €4,770; Salle des Rois plus Orangerie €6,500. Saturday and Sunday: Salle des Rois plus bedrooms €7,900; Orangerie alone €5,600; Orangerie plus Salle des Rois and children’s room €7,000. Two-day exclusive use with those three rooms and 29 bedrooms is €10,200, or €11,700 with the four cottages. From Friday afternoon to Sunday 6 p.m., the package with bedrooms is €11,800, or €12,750 with cottages.

Monday to Thursday: Salle des Rois €3,500; Orangerie €4,500; both €5,900; or €8,200 with the children’s room and 29 bedrooms from day 1 at 9 a.m. to day 2 at 7 p.m. The stated 2026 tourist tax is €0.55 per person per day and must be reconfirmed for 2027. Napoleon III chair covers or chairs are €2.50 incl. tax each. One caterer in the brochure quotes €90–€115 incl. tax per person, subject to a final quotation; external brunch examples of €10–€15 are also dated 2027 and are not automatically included.

Terms to contract

The brochure advertises no time limit, but this must be confirmed for the date, especially for music and outdoor areas. Booking payment, security deposit, instalments, cancellation, postponement, insurance, cleaning, staff, heating and overtime are not fully published. Only the final quotation and contract govern.
