Weddings at Domaine de Grosbois

In Boissy-Saint-Léger, Val-de-Marne, Domaine de Grosbois hires its spaces for weddings and private receptions. The historic estate is part of a 412-hectare horse-training site; this is not a garden wholly reserved for wedding guests. The brick-and-stone castle, Orangery and English garden offer different settings, with the exact spaces and reception layout to be agreed in the contract.

The Orangery and English garden

The Orangery has a 440 m² reception room, a 100 m² entrance hall, cloakrooms, toilets and a caterer’s preparation area. A movable partition divides the room; a 200 m² half-room is marketed. The private 5,000 m² English garden can host wedding drinks, cocktails or an outdoor symbolic ceremony. Marquees may be possible under agreed conditions, but are not assumed to be supplied. The reference seated-dinner capacity is 400. Listings of 440 relate in particular to cocktail or conference layouts, not a guarantee of dining for 440.

Castle, museum and business area

Castle spaces include the 68 m² entrance hall, 60 m² connecting salon, 70 m² dining room, 120 m² dance salon and 124 m² Battle Gallery. The courtyard is listed at 1,500 m². The 500 m² trotting museum includes a screening room and Hall des Immortels. The business area combines a 73 m² meeting room, 37–38 m² lounge and terrace, officially described for 15 to 30 people. The castle’s 800 m² total and Orangery’s 600 m² total must not be added to the individual rooms already included in them.

Detailed capacities by layout

The table contains commercially published business-event reference figures, not contractual wedding capacities or permission to combine all rooms. Ranges are numbers of people; “—” means not stated. The lounge is 37 m² in one table and 38 m² on the estate website. Published riding-arena areas vary between 1,700, 1,800 and almost 2,000 m²; the professional table’s 1,500-person capacity also differs from the officially advertised 1,000-guest dinner show. Large receptions therefore need specific approval; that figure is not used as the general wedding capacity.

Catering, drinks and suppliers

Venue hire without meals is available. The Orangery is marketed with a choice of outside caterer, who must remain throughout the reception; agree access and preparation facilities with that supplier. The estate also offers selected caterers, pastry chefs and food services for cocktails, buffets and served meals, plus a Dîner du Prince in the dance salon. Menus, service, tableware, furniture and linen are not automatically included in empty-room hire.

Menus and individual requirements

Wedding information lists traditional, international and creative cuisine, vegetarian or vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher and individual dietary adaptations. Confirm every diet, allergen and child’s meal with the selected caterer. An outside wedding cake is advertised without surcharge; agree storage and service. Bringing drinks is advertised as possible, but the incomplete corkage wording does not establish free corkage. Drinks are included in some meal packages, not in all venue hire. The wedding offer states that DJ and photographer are not imposed; music, decoration and coordination options require separate pricing.

Prices: wedding quotation and differences to clarify

Request a dated wedding-hire quotation. Information checked on 16 October 2026 quotes €4,750–€7,850 for a wedding venue, without a general duration or tax specification. A separate empty-room offer starts at €3,250 with a different scope, while a business-event tariff lists the Orangery at €5,000 excluding VAT. These are not equivalent packages and none is a guaranteed meal or weekend price. The wedding offer advertises a minimum of 80 guests; adjustments and any supplement are by quotation.

Business-event prices are separate from weddings

The business-event tariff lists the meeting room and business lounge at €750 excluding VAT each; entrance hall, screening room, Hall des Immortels, connecting salon, dining room, dance salon and Battle Gallery at €2,090 excluding VAT each; riding arena at €5,170 excluding VAT. Hire duration is not stated. Express, Cocktail and Banquet study-day packages are listed at €95, €105 and €125 excluding VAT per person respectively, depending on the space; another indication ranges from €95 to €150 excluding VAT per person by lunch format. Packages can include welcome coffee, equipped room, dining and two breaks, but are not wedding menus. A screen with projector is listed as an optional €588 including VAT, to reconfirm. Tourist admission prices are not venue-hire prices.

Setup, music and security

The empty-room offer specifies an arrival inventory at noon the previous day and departure inventory at noon the following day. Agree the party’s actual timings separately. Music is advertised to stop at 4am. That offer includes one security officer for prevention and parking assistance for an event lasting no more than twelve hours, not a complete security team or unlimited service. Before departure, remove rubbish and decorations to the designated containers and dry-sweep the room. Fireworks, balloon releases and lanterns are prohibited under the conditions consulted. Confirm other decorations, candles, sound levels and wet-weather backup.

Accommodation and payment conditions

One wedding offer advertises 136 beds: 30 in apartments, 30 conventional beds, 16 in studios and 60 in large camping-style tents. This mixed total is not a room count; confirm the operator, availability, toilets and season. No wedding-couple room is guaranteed. Another presentation does not specify accommodation and states there is no bridal preparation room. Request a separate overnight quotation. Card, cheque and bank transfer are advertised for receptions; tourist-visit payment methods and rates do not automatically apply to weddings. Deposit, damage guarantee, payment deadlines, cancellation and insurance must be specified in the contract.

Accessibility and the correct building

The estate’s postal address is 94470 Boissy-Saint-Léger. The official vehicle entrance is 46 avenue de Grosbois, 94440 Marolles-en-Brie, opposite the golf course. This listing’s map marks the castle at 48.735278, 2.527500, not the distant entrance. On-site parking is free; one offer lists 150 spaces, to reconfirm by hired area. The Orangery is advertised as wheelchair accessible, but several castle salons and the upstairs meeting room are not listed as adapted. Check routes, toilets and support for individual guests.

Transport, activities and contact

The official driving route uses A4/A86 then N19, with an indicative 30-minute journey from Porte de Bercy, varying with traffic. Take RER A to Boissy-Saint-Léger then a bus; the estate lists routes 451, 3121 and 423 towards Tournebride or Gros Chêne. Check timetables for your date. Pedestrian access is generally the castle gate on the N19 side. Guided castle, training-centre and museum visits require booking; roadcar, Segway, nature and team activities may be arranged by quotation, not automatically included in a wedding.
