Tanıtımın tamamı
Tarascon Municipal Theatre hosts performances and cultural events in an Italian-style theatre on Rue Eugène Pelletan. The venue reopened to the public in December 2022 and continues its programme with a 2026-2027 season announced by the municipality. Its architecture, stage and audience spaces provide a setting for performances and events organised by cultural associations.
The theatre was designed by Marseille architect Joseph Marius Letz, a collaborator of Charles Garnier. It opened in 1888 with Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and retains a strong connection with live performance. Its façade features a lyre supported by two angels, created by Tarascon sculptor Jean-Barnabé Amy. The municipal programme also recalls appearances by major figures from the French stage.
The municipality makes the theatre available to cultural associations and schools after reviewing their project. Prior municipal authorisation is required. Stage requirements, technical supervision and the permitted audience capacity must be agreed with the theatre team. Financial terms are confirmed for the particular event.
Free parking is available nearby, and the railway station is a ten-minute walk away. A cloakroom is available on performance days. Visitors with reduced mobility should explain their requirements when booking so the team can organise appropriate seating. Eating is prohibited in the auditorium. Contact the theatre directly to discuss your project.
The municipal rules allow technical and municipal staff, as well as equipment, to be provided under agreed conditions. An association or school should therefore explain its artistic programme, expected attendance, installation schedule and stage requirements from the first enquiry. The level of support must be discussed for the particular project, rather than assumed to be the same for every event.
For a group arriving by car, the municipality identifies several free parking areas near the theatre, including Place du Colonel Berrurier, Place du Général de Gaulle, Place de Verdun and Place des Anciens Combattants d’Indochine. Tickets for the regular season can be booked online, at the box office or by telephone. Ticket reservations have their own terms; arranging a separate event requires discussion with the theatre service.
