Le Jardin des sculptures at Château de Bois-Guilbert offers its drawing rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, meetings and receptions near Rouen, in rural Seine-Maritime. A seven-hectare garden with art

The landscaped park covers seven hectares and features around seventy works by Jean-Marc de Pas, among vistas, planting and spaces devoted to nature, the seasons and the elements. Founded in 1620, the estate retains buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Reception offers include garden access for an independent visit. A guided tour, a meeting with the sculptor in his workshop when available, or a modelling workshop can complement the event. Book these activities and confirm their conditions.

Booked spaces and event restrictions

The château drawing rooms and other rooms may be made available. The current offer consulted does not state room names, floor areas or seated and standing capacities: agree the guest layout with the team without deriving a capacity from the garden area. In the warmer months, evening events can run from 18:00 to 22:00. The 2025 business brochure specifies exclusive access to the seven hectares for these evenings and the possibility of installing tents behind the château, erected the day before and removed the day after. Your wedding quotation must confirm these arrangements, wet-weather backup, technical requirements and temporary structures.

Catering and equipment

You can bring your own caterer or use professionals who regularly work with the estate. The brochure describes seasonal local cooking with a chef based in Bois-Guilbert. It documents meeting furniture, a projector and a screen: distinguish their availability for your reception from dinner furniture and confirm the arrangements. Architectural lighting of the château can be organised with a partner; it is not advertised as included in a basic hire price. The documents consulted do not publish menus, drinks, corkage, staff, tableware or catering prices.

Accommodation: three separate offers

The garden group cottage welcomes quiet groups and has Jeunesse et Sports approval. Its dormitories provide 28 to 39 beds with the annexe. The published price is €30 to €35 per person for one night, for at least fifteen people, including garden access but excluding meals and bed linen; a reduced rate is indicated for multiple nights. The château has five furnished holiday units, generally for two people each, with a sofa bed in the central studio and three extra beds in a mezzanine studio. The advertised total capacity is fourteen people. Each unit has a private bathroom and toilet, a refrigerator, two electric hotplates and a microwave; one also includes an oven.

Studio and small-house prices

Studio prices vary by unit, include garden access and exclude meals. For one person: €63 or €84 for one night, €116 or €136 for two nights; for two people: €84 or €116 for one night, €147 or €179 for two nights. Les Quatre Éléments is a small house within the park with its own garden, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, for two to four people. Depending on occupancy, published prices are €200–€280 for a two-night weekend, €280–€360 for three nights, and €360–€420 for a week, plus 5% tourist tax. These prices, consulted on 14 October 2026, require confirmation for your dates. They are accommodation prices, not wedding-hire packages; capacities from the separate offers are not added together.

Quiet setting, times and access

The estate requires respect for the site, visitors and neighbours. It cannot host amplified late-night parties. The garden includes lawns and an approximately one-kilometre path; walking on the grass is permitted. Pets are not admitted. Assess accessible routes, toilets, accommodation stairs and access to the drawing rooms for your guests’ needs. Advertised road access is via A13 exit 22 Rouen north-east, A28 exit 12 Buchy or A29 exit 10 Saint-Saëns; the site is six kilometres from Buchy.

Public visits and wedding booking

Visitor opening times are separate from a booked reception. From 1 April to 1 November, the garden normally opens 14:00–18:00, with mornings by appointment; in July and August, 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00. From 2 November to 31 March, visits are by appointment; closure is advertised from 21 December to 5 January. Visitor tickets, memberships and tourism-group prices are not wedding prices. The quotation must define reserved spaces, guest numbers, timings, services, insurance and any extra charges. The offer consulted does not specify wedding advance payments, security deposits, cancellation terms or venue-hire prices. General terms for activities sold online do not replace a reception contract.
