Château de Couin hosts private receptions and weddings in an inhabited Louis XV-style house between Arras and Amiens. At 11 Rue Principale, 62760 Couin, this historic monument retains its decoration, panelling and fireplaces. Its English-style park of more than six hectares offers a countryside setting near the sources of the Authie. Plan the project with the team: booked drawing rooms, guest reception, dinner, dancing and accommodation require tailored arrangements.

Five spaces and their layouts

The large dining room and grand drawing room each measure 52 m², with advertised layouts of 40 seated or 60 standing people each. The 32 m² small dining room is listed for 20 seated or 35 standing people; the 34 m² company drawing room for 20 seated or 40 standing; and the 39 m² entrance vestibule for 30 seated or 50 standing. Confirm these layouts for your reception: circulation, service and any dance floor may change the plan. Capacities from all the rooms are not added together.

Combined rooms and exclusive hire

Published combined layouts list: large dining room with company drawing room, 60 seated or 100 standing; company drawing room with small dining room, 40 seated or 75 standing; company drawing room with grand drawing room, 60 seated or 100 standing; grand drawing room with vestibule, 70 seated or 110 standing; and small dining room with vestibule, 50 seated or 85 standing. General venue descriptions give different overall capacities: use only the layout agreed in your contract for the wedding. Specify private areas, timings and any shared use with guest accommodation and visits, without assuming exclusive use of the entire château.

Catering, equipment and dancing

Catering and caterer choice are not compulsory in the reception information consulted. Arrange outside services with the owners: kitchen access, deliveries, staff, tableware, drinks and cleanup. Meeting and sound equipment may be requested, including a projector, screen, flipchart, microphone or sound desk, according to requirements. A marquee is mentioned among possible options without guaranteed price or capacity; confirm its position, installation, safety and wet-weather arrangements. Dancing events are offered, but finish times, sound restrictions, DJ arrangements and any charges are not published.

Historic bedrooms and suite

The current website details the approximately 25 m² Alcove Room on the first floor, with a 140 cm bed, separate washroom and shower; the approximately 35 m² Black Room on the same floor, with Napoleon III decoration and a historic private bathroom; and the approximately 70 m² Hidden Mezzanine Suite. The suite combines a single bedroom, a double bedroom, a dressing room, a small library, a separate toilet and a bathroom with a cast-iron bath and double basin. Bedrooms overlook the park and retain their heritage interiors. Confirm current allocation, beds and access; no total sleeping capacity is derived from older general figures.

Services during a stay

Rooms have Wi-Fi, bathrobes, hairdryers and toiletries. Continental breakfast with local and homemade products is included for direct bookings through the website, telephone or email. Coffee, tea and herbal infusions are available during the stay; other drinks may carry a charge. A table d’hôtes dinner featuring local specialities can be booked at least 24 hours ahead. These accommodation services are not a wedding catering package; reception menus, brunch, children’s meals, allergies and dietary adaptations require a separate agreement.

Park, pool and activities

The rear terrace opens onto the park and its mature trees. For staying guests, the heated outdoor pool is accessible free of charge in the warmer months, normally May–September and subject to weather. Agree access during a reception and supervision of children. Bicycles, table tennis, pétanque and badminton are advertised activities. Fibre/Wi-Fi is free in bedrooms and drawing rooms. Bedrooms deliberately have no televisions; a shared TV space is reserved for staying guests. Parking is free and an 11 kW charging point is available, with paid charging.

Budget and conditions to obtain

Spaces are offered by quotation. Undated hire indications give €400–€1,800 for a day and €1,500–€1,800 for an evening; reconfirm these figures, which are neither guaranteed current rates nor per-person prices. The quotation should separate hire, booked spaces, equipment, marquee, catering, drinks, staff, cleaning and accommodation. Card, transfer and cash are listed among possible payment methods; confirm them for your reception contract. Advance payments, security deposits, cancellation, taxes and minimum guest numbers are not specified in the offer consulted.

Times, accessibility and arrival

Accommodation check-in starts at 16:30 and checkout is no later than 11:00. Earlier arrival requires prior agreement; late checkout may be offered on request for a supplement. These are not wedding-hire or music times. The historic building has upper floors and mezzanines: ask about routes, stairs, toilets, drawing-room access and a suitable bedroom before booking. Accessibility is not guaranteed. The website places Couin approximately 26 km from Arras, 30 km from Amiens, 17 km from Albert and 13 km from Doullens; road access from Arras is via the N25, Mondicourt and Pas-en-Artois.

Visits and contact

Visits to the monument have a separate calendar from receptions. In 2026, guided tours are by appointment from 13 January to 9 July and 26 August to 15 December; from 10 July to 25 August, advertised opening is 11:00–17:00 except Tuesdays.
