LUMA Arles: events at the Parc des Ateliers
In Arles, LUMA welcomes companies and organisations to a seven-hectare cultural campus combining contemporary architecture, restored industrial buildings and a landscaped park. Private events are available throughout the year, including seminars, conventions, workshops, executive meetings and gala evenings. Projects can accommodate between 2 and 700 participants, depending on the chosen spaces and layout.
Spaces with complementary uses
The Tower designed by Frank Gehry includes event areas and seminar rooms. The former railway workshops introduce a different scale to the campus. Among them, the Grande Halle retains the steel framework of its former iron boiler-making workshop, built between 1888 and 1894 and renovated in 2007. This 5,000-square-metre building, with a height of 17.5 metres, hosts exhibitions and cultural events. These dimensions describe the building; the area made available for a private reception is agreed with the team.
The choice of spaces allows organisers to combine working sessions, cultural experiences and informal gatherings. Meeting, dinner and cocktail capacities depend on the requested arrangement. The reserved areas, furniture, audiovisual requirements and technical assistance should be specified as part of the project.
Cultural experiences to complement your gathering
Guided visits and activities can add another dimension to the event. The Resources programme includes a park discovery tour followed by a mixology workshop, for up to 20 participants over two hours. Other formats combine an exhibition with an aperitif or explore design and Atelier LUMA’s research. These latter activities accommodate groups of up to 25, with several groups possible simultaneously. Their content changes with the programme and the seasons.
Dining and accommodation
The Parc des Ateliers offers several dining venues: Drum Café, Le Réfectoire, Café du Parc and Terrasse des Forges. Their food ranges from brasserie dishes to creative bistro cooking and street food, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. Event catering and service arrangements are planned with the private events team.
The Hôtel du Parc has eleven rooms within the campus. Les Maisons d’Arles also offers accommodation in the town centre. Room bookings, availability and any accommodation element of an event programme are arranged separately with the relevant team.
Access and planning
The reception address is 35 avenue Victor Hugo in Arles. Buses serve the Victor Hugo stop, and paid parking is available on Route de Crau, approximately ten minutes away on foot. The site provides ten parking spaces for visitors with disabilities, reached through 53 chemin des Minimes. Lifts, accessible toilets and wheelchair loans are among the visitor facilities.
Prices for Resources programme activities are supplied on request. For a private event, send your preferred dates, group size, programme and technical needs so that a quotation can be prepared. The reserved spaces, catering, visits, optional accommodation and contractual arrangements can then be defined.
