WestWeelde occupies historic industrial buildings on the Westergas site in Westerpark. The former industrial setting provides a distinctive backdrop for a wedding, reception or private celebration. Couples can arrange their ceremony, dinner and evening party at the same venue, with the park providing green surroundings. The venue includes De Liefde, De Unie and Het Restaurant, which can be hired individually or combined.

Rooms and layouts

De Liefde is WestWeelde’s official civil wedding space. A wooden floor, tall windows and distinctive bar give the room a welcoming character. It covers 230 square metres. Seated dining accommodates up to 120 guests at long tables or 100 at round tables. A walking dinner or buffet can host up to 250 guests, while the party capacity is 300. The final choice of space depends on the event programme and layout.

Dining, equipment and planning

The kitchen at Het Restaurant prepares wedding dinners, with meat, fish and vegetarian options. Couples discuss the menu and room arrangement with the team during planning. De Liefde has a bar, lighting and sound equipment, a cloakroom and Wi-Fi. A technician must be booked with the basic lighting and technical package. A venue visit provides an opportunity to compare the rooms and arrangements.

The address is Klönneplein 4 in Amsterdam. Vehicle access to the Westergas site is restricted; guests can use a nearby public car park and continue on foot. Cycling and public transport are also practical options. De Liefde and Het Restaurant are accessible to wheelchair users; De Unie is reached by stairs.
