Abbadia, le Château-Observatoire offers exclusive use of its outdoor areas for a wedding reception on Hendaye’s coastal corniche. The château and park provide a heritage setting between the Basque coast and the Pyrenean landscape. Hendaye Tourisme’s events team assists with planning and can direct organisers to local suppliers.

A tailor-made marquee reception

Wedding hire covers the outdoor areas: the château’s interior rooms are not offered as a wedding banqueting hall. The project must therefore include a suitable reception structure provided by the organiser. Before approval, the operator requests details including the structure’s position and dimensions and the total number of people attending, including guests and staff.

There is no single capacity applicable to every installation. It depends on the approved project, access routes, catering and site constraints. Connections, the caterer’s requirements, toilets, setup and dismantling times, and arrangements for bad weather must also be specified.

Suppliers and accommodation

The meal, decoration, technical equipment and evening arrangements are planned with the selected partners and the operator. Accommodation at the château is not advertised as part of the wedding offer: overnight stays for family and friends should be arranged at nearby establishments. Available dates and excluded periods must be confirmed directly, without assuming summer availability.
