A setting to celebrate your story
Full presentation
Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey welcomes meetings and conferences within a working religious community. Located in the Montagnette hills at Tarascon, it offers several rooms and accommodation options. Hospitality retains a spiritual purpose: each project must suit the abbey’s contemplative atmosphere and daily practices. Guests of any faith or none can arrange a period of group reflection with the community’s agreement.
Choosing a room for your programme
The official website lists the Salle des Papes for 40 people, Salle Jean Guitton for 50–100 and Bon Pasteur for 100. The 2026 contribution schedule also identifies a 20-person lounge. These spaces accommodate different group sizes, but the layout and allocated room should be agreed before registration numbers are fixed. For Bon Pasteur, the rate sheet states 150 people whereas the group hospitality page gives 100; the approved capacity for your particular project therefore needs confirmation.
Published contributions and a clear estimate
The 2026 schedule gives summer and winter contributions respectively of €50 and €80 for Salle des Papes, €55 and €80 for the lounge, €80 and €150 for the Bon Pasteur hall, and €240 and €400 for the other Maison Saint-Michel rooms. Neither the period covered nor the tax treatment is specified. The Bon Pasteur hall with kitchen is listed at €4 per person with a €70 minimum, or €8 in winter with a €140 minimum. A written estimate should separate the room, kitchen, overnight stays and meals.
Meals and overnight stays
Groups may prepare their own meals in authorised facilities or book separately at Auberge de La Treille. Its published prices are €30 for a starter, main and dessert, €25 for two courses, €22 for the daily main dish and €12 for a children’s menu. It opens for lunch Tuesday–Sunday, from February until Christmas. Ask the restaurant directly about current dishes, allergens and arrangements for your group.
Maîtrise Saint-Norbert and Maison Saint-Michel provide different sleeping arrangements. Monastic stays normally last two to seven nights. Maison Saint-Michel has accessible rooms, while the Saint-Norbert facilities are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Stating access requirements in the first enquiry helps the team allocate appropriate buildings.
Planning the group’s arrival
Free parking accommodates coaches. A heritage visit can complement the programme: weekday groups of at least ten people can book a visit at €6 per participant, with a 30% advance payment no later than fifteen days beforehand. This is separate from the room booking. Accommodation is deliberately simple, without television, radio or internet, and silence is required after 10 p.m. Send preferred dates, group size, the purpose of the stay and full contact details to reservation@frigolet.com. Then obtain confirmation of the allocated room, timetable, itemised costs and booking or cancellation terms. Agreeing these details before travel also helps participants understand the character of this particular setting and prepare for their stay.
