A setting to celebrate your story
Full presentation
A wedding on an island in the Bois de la Cambre
Chalet Robinson hosts weddings and private events on the lake in the Bois de la Cambre, in southern Brussels. Its island setting gives the reception a distinctive beginning: guests reach the chalet aboard the electric ferries linking the island to the shore. The venue combines a welcoming building, water views and the greenery of the park while remaining within the Belgian capital.
Spaces for the different stages of your celebration
The indoor areas extend over 375 square metres on the ground and upper floors. Outside, a 380-square-metre terrace and approximately 1,000 square metres of gardens provide additional settings for an event. The venue advertises garden ceremonies and an air-conditioned room. Couples can discuss a programme moving between the welcome, drinks reception, meal and evening celebrations according to the season and the spaces selected.
The official wedding information lists 180 guests for dinner, 250 for a reception and 300 for a dance party. These are separate configurations. The final guest count should be agreed with the team after considering furniture, dance-floor space and the use of the outdoor areas. Figures published for other types of events should not be treated as the seated wedding capacity.
Food and event planning
Three culinary concepts are available: Choux de Bruxelles, KTCHN and Streat. Menus and service arrangements can be discussed with the teams to suit the atmosphere of the celebration. Exclusive hire is also offered for family celebrations, birthdays and company events. The combination of a natural setting and an unusual arrival makes the chalet an option for couples seeking a wedding close to the city with a strong sense of place.
Planning your visit
The meeting point is Sentier de l’Embarcadère 1, 1000 Brussels. When requesting a quotation, provide separate guest counts for the ceremony, reception and dinner, together with your preferred schedule. Ferry arrangements, technical setup and the wet-weather plan should be discussed directly with the venue. A visit is useful for understanding how guests will move between the landing point, the rooms and the lakeside terrace.
