A historic setting above Boulbon
Château de Boulbon stands above the village and Rhône valley on a rocky spur of the Montagnette. This privately owned historic monument is undergoing restoration and selectively welcomes weddings, celebrations and dinners. Panoramic terraces, terraced gardens and vaulted rooms form the setting; their use is agreed with the management during a mandatory site visit.
Spaces and reception capacity
The main terrace and gardens can host drinks or a ceremony. Vaulted rooms have lighting and discreet installations. Up to 200 guests are announced for a seated dinner; the figure of 500 applies only to concerts and is not a wedding dinner or cocktail capacity. Confirm the layout, reserved areas, guest numbers, dance arrangements and wet-weather solution for your event.
Suppliers and equipment
Caterers and technical suppliers require management approval. Amplified sound must also be approved and respect both the monument and village. Decorations and installations must be removable without affecting historic masonry. Electricity is available; generator hire can be arranged for larger productions. Access and practical arrangements
Parking is prohibited at the castle. The free village car park is on Place Gilles Léontin. Allow roughly 10–15 minutes on foot through the old streets and uphill paths; suitable footwear is recommended. A shuttle is recommended for groups, with route and arrangements to be agreed. Historic stairs and stony paths severely limit access for guests with reduced mobility. Toilets are available. Wedding accommodation at the castle is not documented.
