A wedding at Château de Creully
In Creully sur Seulles, between Caen and Bayeux, the municipal château hosts weddings in medieval rooms: 160 seated guests on the ground floor and 70 upstairs; a capacity of 200 is advertised for cocktails. Equipped kitchen, tables, chairs and dance floor are available. Caterer, DJ and photographer are freely chosen; own drinks are allowed. The municipal Moulin cottage below the ramparts separately offers three bedrooms and six beds.
Organisation and rules
Hire covers the rooms, without exclusive use of the public park. Municipal rules require parking outside the enclosure, assistance animals only indoors, no smoking and closed doors and windows after 10 pm. The organiser handles setup, tidying and cleaning. A 30% deposit, balance one month beforehand, and security deposits of €2,000 for damage and €500 per floor for cleaning apply.
Rates and booking
Indicative rates: €3,200 including tax for weekends, Friday 2 pm–Monday 10:30 am, or €800 for an evening and €1,200 for a day from October to March. The municipal 2023 schedule still lists €2,100 for ground-floor weekend hire for non-residents: request an updated quote. Tableware, linens and accommodation are excluded.
