A wedding at a lived-in Walloon estate
Château de Deulin offers its spaces for wedding hire in Deulin, in the municipality of Hotton near Durbuy. The main reception venue occupies an outbuilding independent of the château. Gardens, woodland and water features form a 24-hectare estate. The venue states that no other part of the château is hired out during your wedding; agree the precise booked areas and access arrangements together. The château remains a family home, so booking a reception does not give access to every room.
La Grange and the indoor spaces
La Grange has a 300 m² main area, a 50 m² mezzanine and an 80 m² Petit Salon. The official offer advertises up to 300 people for dinner and up to 600 for a reception. These capacities concern the reception arrangement, not the mezzanine alone; no separate capacity is published for the Petit Salon. The château salons are offered for aperitifs, dinners, exhibitions, seminars, small concerts and photography, with rooms adapted to requirements. Confirm table layout, circulation, dancing space and the safety plan before fixing guest numbers. Capacities of separate rooms are not added together.
The tower, dining room and chapel
The tower is an independent space accommodating 10–70 people. It has an equipped kitchen and an adjoining kitchen-bar; this does not establish a professional kitchen in every room. It is offered for birthdays, brunches, dinners and seminars. The hunting dining room seats 20 for a meal, with three-course or longer menus available on request. Saint-Remacle chapel accommodates around 100 people and can host blessings, baptisms, concerts and exhibitions. Agree availability, officiant and wedding ceremony arrangements. No outdoor civil or symbolic ceremony permission is assumed.
Catering, drinks and technical arrangements
For La Grange, catering is selected from a list proposed by the house; unrestricted free choice has not been confirmed. The estate also publishes contacts for sound, lighting, video, DJs, equipment hire and photography. Being listed does not establish an included service or a compulsory exclusive supplier. Agree menus, dietary requirements, allergens, children’s meals, brunch, drinks service, wines, corkage and cake with the selected professionals. Furniture, crockery, linen, screen, Wi-Fi, heating, air conditioning, staffing and coordination are not described as included in a verified package.
Bedrooms and overnight stays
Rooms in the château, recognised as exceptional heritage, may be booked subject to availability, with prices on request. The current page does not state the number of bedrooms or sleeping places. An undated Golf Tour brochure describes four double rooms and a suite, alongside stays including meals. That older information is neither a guaranteed current inventory nor a wedding package. Advertised journey times from Brussels, Luxembourg and Liège are indicative. La Grange operates year-round; setup several days before the event is possible by agreement, not automatically included. Verify step-free routes, toilets, drop-off, rain backup, hours, music and noise rules. Built from 1758, the château combines limewashed brick, blue stone, slate roofs and formal French-style gardens.
