A wedding in the Somme

Between Amiens and Abbeville, Château de Flixecourt combines an 11-hectare park, a 19th-century residence, Orangerie, Atelier and accommodation. Private hire can last a few hours or several days. The team helps plan the ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, dancing and next-day gathering.

Orangerie: dinner and dancing

Orangerie: 500 m², up to 300 seated or 500 standing, south-facing terrace 300 m². Equipped kitchen, reheating pantry, cold room, toilets and cloakroom. Equipment: 8,500-lumen projector, screen, stage, lectern, flipchart, ECLER sound, wireless microphone and LED lighting. Confirm capacity allowing for tables, dance floor and circulation.

Atelier and other spaces

Atelier: restored farm building with exposed brick, preserved feeding troughs and glazing overlooking the clearing. Room 300 m², up to 300 standing; the official page gives 150 seated in its text and 120 in its table, so the seating plan must be agreed. South terrace 150 m²; catering pantry with two refrigerators and freezer, toilets, cloakroom, 75-inch 4K screen, stage, lectern, flipchart, YAMAHA sound and wireless microphone.

Your celebration and wet-weather plan

A symbolic ceremony facing the château can be followed by drinks in the Atelier or outdoors and dinner in the Orangerie. In rain, the Atelier can host drinks while the Orangerie hosts dinner. Atelier and terrace can host next-day brunch or a reunion meal. Château lounges and Rotonde offer further possibilities, depending on the booking.

Packages and indicative prices

Current rates are quoted individually. Online references checked on 11 October 2026 have no stated valid season and differ; they are not current contractual prices or a single wedding range. Venue-only hire: EUR 3,000–7,100 per booking, mentioning furniture, wedding-day coordinator and exclusive use. Private-hire package: indicative total EUR 5,100–7,100, advertised for up to 350 guests, requiring confirmation; official Orangerie seated capacity remains 300. Advertised package inclusions: 500 m² Orangerie, kitchen, accessible toilets, 250 Napoléon chairs, 25 round 182 cm tables for 10–12 people, ECLER sound, two wireless microphones, projection, screen, stage, Wi-Fi, 300 m² terrace with garden furniture and parasols, 200 parking spaces, park access, wedding-day manager and security officer 16:00–04:00. Another wedding-hire reference: EUR 5,000–10,000, without sufficiently detailed inclusions to equate it with that package. Identify the offer and spaces in the quote. Do not assume catering, drinks, accommodation, Atelier, next day, entertainment, cleaning or security beyond the stated hours included. A free decorative arch applied to 2024 bookings only; that expired promotion is not a guaranteed current inclusion.

Partners and entertainment

Banquet, photography, music, decoration, transport and full planning can be arranged according to the project. Partners can provide Picardy wooden games, photobooth, inflatable games, childcare, shuttles, musicians, vintage-vehicle arrivals or horse-drawn carriage.

Catering and conditions

Sources differ on free choice of caterer and music: agree approved professionals and any exclusivity in the contract. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, diabetic-friendly, halal, organic or kosher menus are advertised on request, to confirm with the caterer; no certification or allergy-management guarantee is assumed. Bringing drinks without corkage and an outside cake without surcharge is advertised conditionally; reconfirm in the quote. Spirits are supplied through the caterer. One event per day and weddings of 50–300 guests are stated; 50 is not a confirmed contractual billing minimum. Cheque or bank-transfer payment is advertised; deposit, schedule and cancellation require agreement. Reception finish at 04:00 is stated; preparation, clearing and next-day hours require confirmation.

25 rooms on the estate

Official accommodation: 25 rooms, 10 in the château, 4 Raffinerie and 11 Rotonde, each with private bathroom; two rooms accessible to guests with reduced mobility. The fully circular 500 m² Rotonde with a breakout meeting space can be hired privately. A 72-bed reference published online requires confirmation of bed layout and bookable numbers. Access and contact

Enclosed, lit on-site parking: 200 spaces with mains sockets for electric vehicles. SSIAP fire-safety personnel can be arranged as needed. Coaches can reach the château; taxis and shuttles can be organised. About 2 km from A16 exit 21, towards Bourdon. Check accessibility of the whole route, ceremony and toilets for your guests.
