Château de la Mogère

A wedding at a Montpellier country residence

Château de la Mogère hosts weddings and receptions in Montpellier, in an eighteenth-century family property. Designed by Jean Giral in 1715, the building has a pedimented facade framed by pine trees. The grounds combine formal French gardens with wooded landscaping, a decorative water feature, statues and an aqueduct. The setting allows different stages of a reception to use an indoor room and extensive outdoor spaces.

Function room, terrace and grounds

The converted former grain store offers 165 m², divided into 135 and 30 m². Advertised capacity is 160 seated guests or 250 standing, depending on the arrangement. A 40 m² vaulted room can be used for children, with a television and DVD player. The grounds cover four hectares of wooded gardens; a 350 m² terrace overlooks the formal French garden.

Reception equipment

Hire includes access to a catering preparation area, a large car park and four toilets, including one accessible toilet. Room heating can be used when required. Tables, chairs, a screen and a projector are among the equipment offered. Agree the table layout, circulation and dancing space with the château; standing capacity is not the number of seats available for a sit-down dinner.

Prices and planning

Prices depend on the duration and type of event. They vary between weekdays and weekends and according to season. No single wedding price is advertised: request a proposal for your date, guest count and chosen spaces. Before booking, clarify set-up and departure times, grounds usage conditions, the indoor wet-weather alternative and catering services. Access to a catering preparation area does not mean that a menu or meal service is included.
