Château de Mouchac

A wedding in a historic Gironde château

In Grézillac, in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, Château de Mouchac hosts weddings, family celebrations and corporate events on a 29-hectare estate. Its towers, stone walls and gardens give receptions a historic setting, approximately twelve kilometres from Saint-Émilion. The estate offers private hire of its event spaces, allowing celebrations to be tailored to the guest count.

Two complementary reception rooms

The Grande Salle covers 400 m² and is advertised for up to 350 people seated at round tables. This capacity must be adjusted to the table layout, dance floor and catering facilities. For a more intimate reception, the Orangery consists of two adjoining rooms totalling 120 m², advertised for 80 seated guests. The two room capacities should not be added together to describe a single dinner space.

The rooms can be hired in summer and winter. Underfloor heating makes off-season weddings an option, while thick walls provide natural coolness in summer; this does not confirm air conditioning. Facilities are available for catering and sound equipment. Request a detailed inventory during the viewing.

Gardens and reception arrangements

The Orangery opens onto the Jardin du Midi. Transparent marquees can be added to the garden layout to shelter guests and buffets, subject to the quotation and chosen configuration. The different gardens also provide settings for photographs and social gatherings. The estate can recommend catering, decoration and floral partners, but a recommendation does not mean that their services are included.
