Château de Pouget is in Vérargues, part of Entre-Vignes, between Montpellier and Nîmes. Recognisable by its two towers, this historic residence offers private hire for weddings, family celebrations, gala evenings and business events. The park and outbuildings allow separate settings for the ceremony, drinks reception and dinner.
Two spacious reception rooms
The Templiers room occupies the twelfth-century former stables: its vaults and stone walls frame a 430-square-metre space. The 500-square-metre Vieux Languedoc room opens onto the outbuildings’ courtyard with views of the château. An additional event structure can be considered for some projects. The advertised capacity reaches 500 seated dinner guests depending on the room and layout; this should not be confused with the much larger standing-event capacities of the park.
A park for the main wedding moments
The tree-lined grounds welcome aperitifs, drinks receptions and outdoor ceremonies. Furniture, decoration, the professional caterer’s kitchen and any additional tents need to be incorporated into the technical plan. The estate works with caterers and can recommend suppliers; freedom of choice and the equipment actually included should be specified in the contract.
Guest rooms and a swimming pool
Accommodation includes the Ducs de Pouget, Songes and Tour rooms, together with the Victoria suite comprising two double bedrooms. A heated indoor pool complements the stay, subject to the group’s access conditions. The exact sleeping capacity available for a wedding should be requested rather than inferred from the room names alone.
Prices and access
Reception-room hire is quoted individually. Published accommodation rates indicate €152 to €183 including tax per room per night for the named rooms and €278 for the Victoria suite, depending on the period. These are guide prices to reconfirm, not wedding-package prices. The property is reached via chemin des Brus, including from junction 27, Lunel, on the A9, towards Sommières and Vérargues. A site visit provides an opportunity to clarify parking, accessibility and reception hours.
