A wedding at Château de Ricey-Bas
In the heart of Les Riceys in the Aube department, Château de Ricey-Bas hosts weddings, cocktail receptions, dinners and private celebrations in a historic estate surrounded by 25 hectares of parkland. The village church is a two-minute walk away. The indoor spaces open directly onto the main courtyard, while the formal French gardens, canals, waterfall and tree-lined paths provide several settings for a ceremony, drinks reception or couple’s photographs.
Cellier, Vinée and reception rooms
The vaulted 12th-century Cellier can accommodate up to 150 seated guests or 300 for a cocktail reception. It connects to the 50 m² old kitchen, which can serve as an additional welcome area. The Vinée has capacity for 130 seated guests or 260 for a cocktail reception. The Nicolas Rolin room completes the venue and can be used for dancing, a bar, a dessert buffet or a children’s area. Capacities depend on the layout, furniture and safety routes: ask the estate for a contractual floor plan for your chosen configuration.
Main courtyard and formal French gardens
The main courtyard and gardens can be arranged freely to suit the event. The estate states that a tent sized for the occasion can be installed in the park or courtyard. This makes it possible to plan an outdoor reception while providing an appropriate wet-weather alternative. Step-free access between the courtyard and several rooms helps guests and technical teams move around. Before booking, request precise details about the caterer’s preparation area, power supply, furniture, toilets, accessibility, music, security, parking, and the times for setup, celebrations and handover.
