A wedding at a Provence wine estate
In Taradeau in the Var, Château de Saint-Martin hosts weddings and private celebrations at the heart of a historic wine estate. The venue combines an eighteenth-century country house, a former carriage room, outdoor areas, a cellar carved into the rock and a romantic garden. These different settings make it possible to hold the ceremony, cocktail, meal and evening celebration on one site.
Five complementary reception spaces
La Calade, a former 200 m² carriage room, retains exposed beams and a traditional pebble floor; it suits both dinner and dancing. The 270 m² Terrasse des Calèches lies between the romantic garden and the room and can host an outdoor meal. The 110 m² underground cellar, carved into the rock in the twelfth century and lined with sixteenth-century oak vats, can accommodate a cocktail, tasting or ceremony.
The 120 m² romantic garden provides a leafy setting for a ceremony, cocktail or small dinner. Cours des Lauriers, advertised as 500 m² beneath three-hundred-year-old plane trees, is intended for large cocktails. The estate does not publish a single wedding capacity: request a precise floor plan for your guest count, with seated and standing capacities for each space and a poor-weather backup.
Accommodation, pool and parking
The château has five guest rooms in the main house as well as several apartments on the estate. An official page for corporate events states that up to twenty-eight people can stay in total; this capacity must be confirmed for the wedding package and chosen date. A French breakfast is included with the rooms. A seasonal outdoor pool is available to residents and private parking is advertised.
