A wedding on a historic Somme estate

In Tilloloy, south of Roye, this family château offers private wedding hire, from a religious ceremony in the adjoining church to dinner in its connected lounges. Grandes Écuries, Cour des Chasseurs and the park provide different indoor and outdoor settings. The 17th-century building, restored after the First World War, French-style garden and lime-tree avenue form the heritage setting. The estate advertises 132 hectares; the actually reserved area is defined in the quotation.

Rooms, capacities and wet-weather backup

Current official figures: Château lounges, 400 m² overall, up to 300 seated or standing; Grandes Écuries 280 m², 120 seated or 199 standing; adjoining Notre-Dame-de-Lorette church, 199 places in the official table, with no published floor area. Dance areas at the Château/Stables, not the church; daylight and wheelchair access are advertised. Capacities are not additive and your reception plan must be validated. A 132-hectare estate, lime-tree avenue, gardens and Cour des Chasseurs provide outdoor settings; higher outdoor figures are not indoor backup capacity. Earlier presentations also name five adjoining lounges individually: Lubersac 50 seated, Béthune-Sully 92, Soyécourt 70, Belleforière 32 and d’Hinnisdal 60. These layout figures are not additive and must be checked against a current plan. A 1,200 m² terrace is listed without confirmed capacity. Older Stables figures of 260 m² and 250–300 standing differ from the current official table’s 280 m² and 199 standing; the latter is used. The Cour des Chasseurs is commercially advertised for 600 cocktail guests, subject to the safety plan and without guaranteed indoor backup for 600. The church is sometimes listed for 340: today’s official 199 figure is preferred and must be confirmed with the parish. Lounges and Stables provide covered backup, to be sized for your guest count.

Private hire and ceremony

The official website reserves the lounges, stables and grounds for clients during their reception. Only one reception at a time is advertised. Specify boundaries, hours and actually hired spaces; 132 hectares is not a cumulative event capacity. Religious ceremonies can take place in the adjoining parish church, subject to the necessary religious arrangements; an outdoor symbolic ceremony is not a legally binding civil wedding.

Catering, menus and drinks

The official wedding offer provides a selection of partner caterers; consult the estate for a supplier outside that network. The corporate offer describes choice within the network without an exclusive caterer. Older unrestricted-choice descriptions therefore do not establish unconditional approval for your wedding. Venue-only hire is possible; partner contracts are separate. A large service kitchen is described as unequipped: no fully equipped private kitchen is guaranteed. Price menus, diets, allergens, children’s meals, staffing, tableware and wedding brunch with the supplier. Wedding information consulted on 15 October 2026 advertises client-supplied drinks without corkage and an outside cake without surcharge. Confirm these arrangements in the current contract and with the caterer; service, storage, ice, glassware and quantities are not automatically included.

Accommodation: off-site partners

No guest bedrooms are confirmed within the reception château. The website lists separate accommodation partners: Ancien Couvent des Minimes in Roye, around 40 people; The Farmer Gîte, around 15; Les 3 Tilleuls, around 10; Aux Chambres du Roy, around 10, with 4 bedrooms and extra beds on request. Each partner has its own capacity and booking arrangements; these are not added to venue beds. Partner pools, spas, breakfasts or brunches are not château facilities or included château services.

Distinguishing prices and extras

Official figure consulted on 15 October 2026: estate hire from €2,700 per weekend, excluding partner services, with quotations tailored to date, season, spaces, duration and guest count. Confirm VAT basis and applicable rate year in the quotation. Other commercial figures without a guaranteed current tariff: Grandes Écuries and Cour des Chasseurs €2,700, Château €4,100; older advertisements at €2,600 including VAT or from €2,200 have different or unspecified scope and duration. Do not combine or promise them. Catering, drinks, decoration, entertainment, accommodation and equipment are charged separately unless expressly included. Itemise furniture, cleaning, energy, staff, insurance and technical fees. Meal, bedroom and public-event prices are not presented as wedding-hire charges. No general contractual minimum guest number is confirmed. Commercial ranges of 30–290 or 100–350 guests do not replace the quotation or official 300-person capacity for the main reception area. Lounge, Stables, church and courtyard capacities are not added together.

Booking, payment and cancellation

Terms dated 20 July 2026 provide a default framework to be adjusted and confirmed in each signed contract. Signature and advance required; indicative 30% on booking and balance 30 days beforehand take precedence over an older 8-day statement. A damage deposit may apply, with no published amount. Cancellation: more than 6 months, advance refunded less administration fees; 6–3 months, advance retained; less than 3 months, payments retained and other contractual amounts may remain due. Postponement requires agreement and availability. Clients are responsible for reinstatement; organiser public-liability insurance is strongly recommended. Exact arrangements are specified in the contract. Card, bank transfer and cash are mentioned commercially without current official confirmation of every method; check with the estate. The website does not accept binding bookings or online payment.

Hours and planning

Wedding information lists reception finish at 4am the following day, to confirm in the contract. Commercial information describes Friday-morning to Sunday-morning private hire; exact duration, Monday access, setup and dismantling are not guaranteed without a quotation. Observe contractual outdoor-sound and neighbour rules. Official contact availability is Monday–Friday during office hours; these are not in themselves weekend-hire hours.

Equipment and other events

Seminars, conferences, corporate parties, birthdays and family gatherings complement wedding hire. Lounges are offered for plenary meetings and Grandes Écuries for cocktails and workshops. Partners cover DJs, sound, lighting, flowers, photography, equipment and pyrotechnics. Their presence does not mean that services are included or automatically authorised. The estate helps with preparation and introduces independent suppliers. Wi-Fi, screen, projector, heating, air conditioning, furniture and tableware are not precisely detailed in the current offer: request a technical inventory. Public concerts and festivals have their own organisers and ticketing; they do not establish wedding availability or a hire package.

How are reviews verified?
  1. An account with a verified email address

The author posts from their wedding account using a confirmed email address. Their email address and contact details are never displayed in the review.

  2. A collaboration confirmed before the event

The client and the professional must have confirmed their collaboration on VENUIVO before the event date. Simply adding a favourite or requesting a quote is not enough.

  3. A review after the event

A review can only be published after the scheduled date for a confirmed collaboration that has not been cancelled. Only one review may be published per collaboration.

  4. The same rules for all reviews

Positive and negative reviews are assessed using the same criteria. Abusive or promotional content and content containing private contact details are rejected. Reviews can be reported, and the professional can respond.

These checks make reviews more reliable. They confirm the collaboration process on VENUIVO; the assessment remains the author’s own.
