Château d'Emines

In Emines, in the Namur countryside, Château d’Emines brings together an eighteenth-century family home, a 14-hectare park and two holiday houses. The estate hosts weddings, private celebrations and business events. Its Wedding Weekend package allows families and friends to gather from Friday to Sunday, celebrate in the château or park and continue the evening in the Lodge.

The château reception rooms and Lodge

The three adjoining reception rooms provide approximately 129.5 m²: the Visart room has 49.8 m², the library 34.2 m² of usable space and the Marinus room 44.7 m². They accommodate up to 130 seated guests with round tables, 120 with rectangular tables or approximately 200 guests for a standing reception. The château also has an entrance hall, cloakroom, toilets, courtyard and caterer preparation area with storage, an oven, fridges and a freezer. The piano remains in the library.

Dance parties take place in the Lodge, separately from the château reception rooms. Its 150 m² ground floor includes a 100 m² reception and living room with bar and fireplace, plus a 49.5 m² dance room with a stage and starry ceiling. Current indicative capacities are approximately 90 on the dance floor, 110 for a reception in the living room and 200 across the whole ground floor, or around 70 for a seated dinner. Layout affects capacity. Other facilities include an equipped professional kitchen, a projector and portable 2.65 × 1.49 m screen, a 278 m² courtyard, a pergola, a barbecue and fire bowls.

An outdoor celebration

The landscaped park, lawns, mature trees, woodland and ponds offer several ceremony and walking settings. Facilities include two tennis courts, volleyball and sports areas, table tennis and a heated seasonal swimming pool, subject to weather. Pool access hours must be confirmed for the stay; meals, parties and glass are prohibited in this area. A marquee may be installed on the lawn facing the château, subject to conditions and with a generator, from Friday morning until Monday morning at the latest. An evening marquee party is not permitted in the Lodge courtyard.

Accommodation for 76 guests

The Lodge sleeps 68 people in nine bedrooms and dormitories: 41 on the first floor, ten in the annex and 17 on the second floor. Accommodation uses single and bunk beds, with bathroom facilities distributed across the building. A sheet and blanket kit is optional, pillows are provided and bath towels are not supplied.

La Renardière, the former lodgekeeper’s house renovated in 2023, sleeps eight people in four double bedrooms. Some beds can be separated. It includes an equipped kitchen, connecting living and dining rooms with a fireplace, a garden and terrace, two showers, a bath, four toilets, basins in the bedrooms and a washing machine. An iron and hairdryer are available.

Suppliers and equipment

Clients choose their caterer, DJ, photographer and other suppliers freely; the team can provide recommendations. The estate does not supply breakfast, meals or drinks. Château dinners require a professional caterer, who must visit beforehand if necessary. The caterer supplies and sets up dinner furniture and tableware. Tables, benches, chairs and tableware are provided for the holiday houses and outdoor use; the Lodge lists tableware for 70 people, to be checked against the event requirements. Setup is handled by the client or their suppliers. Sound and stage lighting must be arranged separately; a lighting kit can be hired. Wedding Weekend prices and options

Exclusive hire of the château, Lodge, La Renardière, park and sports facilities costs €7,400 for a Wedding Weekend in 2026 and €8,300 in 2027. Each amount applies to its specified year and covers the Friday-to-Sunday stay, including VAT, utilities, cleaning and booking-file coordination. Departure is scheduled for Sunday at 6 pm; Friday arrival time must be confirmed in the contract. Catering and external supplier services are excluded.

• Lodge bedding kit: €15 per person, including sheets and a blanket.
• Sports kit: €50 per kit for the wedding package, with tennis rackets and balls, three paddleboards and paddles, badminton equipment, frisbees, balls and water-polo equipment. The VAT treatment must be confirmed for the chosen package.
• Lighting kit: €150 for ten wireless lights suitable for indoor or outdoor use; VAT treatment must be confirmed for the package.

Other hire packages

Separate holiday-house hire and event packages may be available depending on the season. The indicative prices below must be reconfirmed when requesting a quotation; they do not replace the exclusive Wedding Weekend rate. Columns show one night from Monday to Wednesday, one night from Thursday to Sunday, then a Friday-to-Sunday weekend.

Separate Lodge hire includes VAT, utilities and cleaning; a 20% supplement is listed for Christmas and New Year. Combined event packages include utilities and cleaning; tax treatment, hours and public-holiday rates must be confirmed. Earlier arrival or later departure may cost €100 per hour, subject to the calendar.

Conditions and access

The estate closes to bookings in July and August. Spring and autumn weekends may require exclusive Friday-to-Sunday hire; the precise package depends on the date. Only hire of both holiday houses together with the château guarantees exclusivity; other bookings may share the park, parking and sports facilities. A signed contract and a deposit of approximately one third confirm the booking; a seven-day provisional hold may be offered after a visit.

For a wedding in the Lodge, music volume must be reduced at 2 am and the sound system stopped at 5 am. Under a marquee, volume is reduced at midnight and music stops at 2 am. Separate Lodge hire may have an earlier closing time, so contractual hours must be checked. Fireworks, firecrackers and flying lanterns are prohibited; smoke machines are also prohibited for events. Deliveries take place on the hired days, with some supplier collections possible on Monday morning. Cleaning is included, but spaces must be returned in good order.

Free private parking accommodates approximately one hundred cars; the client manages parking. The Lodge entrance arch limits vehicle access to 2 m in height. Pets are welcome and must be kept on a lead outdoors. Accessibility requirements should be checked directly.
