A historic castle for cultural and professional events

In the centre of Trets, Château des Remparts hosts cultural events in a building whose origins date to the late 12th or early 13th century. Stone walls, former defensive features and later alterations provide a historic setting for an exhibition, conference or performance. The municipality offers the vaulted gallery, known as the Ancienne Vinothèque, and the castle courtyard for hire.

Under the municipality’s currently published conditions, these spaces are available for professional hire. The castle maintains a regular arts programme encompassing exhibitions, school workshops, theatre and conferences. Its courtyard also hosts concerts and open-air cinema during summer. The Reflex Saint-Baume photography exhibition, advertised for 8–29 August 2026, provides a recent example of this cultural activity.

A 110-square-metre gallery and a performance courtyard

The vaulted room occupies a former castle cellar, with access from Boulevard Étienne-Boyer. It measures 110 square metres over a length of 21 metres, with an irregular width of approximately 5 metres and a central height of 3.30 metres. The municipality states a capacity of 80 people without specifying separate seated and standing layouts. Its barrel vault combines stone and brick; the published equipment includes a bar counter, refrigerators, toilets and lighting suitable for exhibitions.

The courtyard is a separate event space, booked according to the programme and proposed layout. The municipal form uploaded in 2022 indicated a courtyard capacity of 800 people; the service must confirm the capacity applicable to each project. The gallery has no wheelchair access. For other parts of the castle, the tourism documentation identifies only the ground floor as accessible.

Booking and budgeting

The gallery page displays a professional-event rate of €250 per day. Exhibitions have a separate arrangement of €250 for five days or €1,000 for thirty days, with a €500 security deposit. Confirm these amounts with the municipality: the 2022 form retains different prices, while the general rental page directs organisers to the service for space-specific quotations.

Send booking requests exclusively by email to associations@trets.fr at least one month before the proposed date. A preliminary visit is available by appointment. The Sport et Vie Associative service, reached on +33 4 42 61 23 74, confirms availability, the reserved area and hire conditions. Setup, event and handover times are agreed for each reservation.

How are reviews verified?
  1. An account with a verified email address

The author posts from their wedding account using a confirmed email address. Their email address and contact details are never displayed in the review.

  2. A collaboration confirmed before the event

The client and the professional must have confirmed their collaboration on VENUIVO before the event date. Simply adding a favourite or requesting a quote is not enough.

  3. A review after the event

A review can only be published after the scheduled date for a confirmed collaboration that has not been cancelled. Only one review may be published per collaboration.

  4. The same rules for all reviews

Positive and negative reviews are assessed using the same criteria. Abusive or promotional content and content containing private contact details are rejected. Reviews can be reported, and the professional can respond.

These checks make reviews more reliable. They confirm the collaboration process on VENUIVO; the assessment remains the author’s own.
