Château Grattequina

A wedding beside the Garonne

Château Grattequina hosts weddings in Blanquefort, at 50 avenue de Labarde, just outside Bordeaux. This nineteenth-century property combines a four-star hotel, landscaped gardens and several reception spaces overlooking the river. The estate can accommodate the ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and, optionally, brunch the following day, with a different setting for each stage.

Terrace, Pavilion and covered Hall

Drinks can be served on a 400 m² stone terrace and the lawn facing the Garonne. A covered Hall provides an alternative in poor weather. The party Pavilion accommodates 50 to 250 guests for dinner and dancing, including use of its mezzanines. A private event combining dinner under the Hall with dancing in the Pavilion can accommodate approximately 350 people. The final layout must be agreed with the team: these figures are not a single capacity applicable to every room.

Ceremony and arrival by boat

A symbolic ceremony can take place on the lawn in front of the Pavilion or under the Hall. The private jetty allows the couple to arrive by motorboat and, with suitable arrangements, guests to travel by boat too. These services require separate pricing. Road access is also available from Bordeaux and the ring road; an enclosed car park and electric vehicle charging points are advertised.

Accommodation and family facilities

The hotel has ten bedrooms and sleeps up to twenty guests. Room bookings and any exclusive hotel hire must be included in the quotation. An 80 m² children’s space provides a screen and projector; children still require supervision by adults or dedicated staff. For guest safety, the swimming pool and surrounding area are closed during the evening. Pavilion hire for brunch the following day is available as an extra.

Indicative prices and planning

As a guide, hire for dinner in the Pavilion is advertised from €5,900 in low season, €6,200 in mid-season and €7,600 in high season. These public price references, consulted in October 2026, are not a quotation and do not imply that meals, accommodation, transport or other extras are included.
