A vineyard wedding in Yvrac
Château Lafitte hosts weddings in Yvrac, on Bordeaux’s right bank. A palm-lined drive leads to a nineteenth-century residence surrounded by vines, with a park and fountain. The estate offers several spaces for a ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and dancing, each with a different atmosphere.
Stone reception rooms and barrel cellars
Salle Fleur du Val covers 250 m² and Salle Floréal Laguens 750 m². Views into the barrel cellars contribute to the reception’s vineyard setting. The estate also presents an 800 m² cellar, smaller lounges and a 75 m² Salle des Vendangeurs. A wedding offer for 30 to 300 guests is published; larger events can be planned with the team according to the spaces and layouts. General event-complex capacities should not be treated as an automatic wedding-dinner limit.
Planning and suppliers
The park can host a symbolic ceremony and drinks reception. A covered alternative should be planned according to the weather. Different packages specify the spaces and furniture provided. The estate offers a network of partners and a list of recommended caterers: catering-choice conditions must be checked rather than assuming complete freedom for every package. Photography and music are not advertised as exclusive services. The published evening finishing time is 4 am, subject to confirmation in the contract.
Accommodation and access
A holiday house is presented with two double bedrooms and a mezzanine, sleeping up to seven depending on the layout. Bed numbers and reserved nights must be specified. A 45-bedroom hotel is advertised a few minutes away: this is nearby accommodation, not rooms inside the château. Private parking is available for vehicles. Access to the rooms, mobility requirements and the children’s space should be checked during the viewing.
Prices and conditions
Published wedding-hire prices range from €3,150 to €10,000 depending on the package. This indicative range is neither a quotation nor a ceiling for all services. Bringing drinks is advertised without corkage provided that the estate’s minimum red-wine order for dinner is met: one bottle per four guests or one magnum per eight. Published payment terms specify a 40% deposit and the balance fifteen days before the reception, payable by cheque, bank transfer or card; final terms must be confirmed when booking.
