A wedding at a wine château in Blanquefort
Château Saint Ahon offers private hire for weddings and receptions at 57 rue Saint Ahon in Blanquefort. The residence, grounds and vineyards provide a reception setting just outside Bordeaux. The estate allows couples to combine time outdoors with dinner in a room adjoining the cellar.
A 145 m² room overlooking the barrels
The reception room retains stone walls and exposed roof timbers. It is advertised for 100 seated guests or 120 for cocktails, depending on the layout. An area is provided for the caterer, who can be freely chosen. An outdoor marquee can be considered as an option. To agree the final guest count, request a layout including service areas, buffets and dancing; seated and standing capacities are not interchangeable.
Hire packages
Published 2026 rates distinguish daytime hire from 10 am to 6 pm at €1,700–2,000, evening hire without equipment from €2,000 and evening hire with equipment from €2,700, with access from Saturday at 8 am until Sunday at 11 am. Weekend hire from Saturday at 8 am until Sunday at 5 pm is advertised at €3,300–4,000. Cleaning is listed as included. These references vary by season and must be reconfirmed in a quotation, especially for dates after 2026. They do not imply that meals or accommodation are included.
Preparations and conditions
A decorating slot is advertised on the previous day from 2 pm to 6 pm. The party must finish at 4 am even when the spaces are returned later. A corkage fee of €4 per person is published for wines from outside the estate. Confirm furniture quantities, the drinks affected, optional extras and any security deposit before booking.
Accommodation and access
Two holiday houses are presented a few dozen metres from the room: a four-bedroom house sleeping eight and a three-bedroom house sleeping six, giving fourteen sleeping places in this offer. Kitchens, Wi-Fi and bathrooms allow close family and friends to stay. Check available accommodation and its layout for the selected date. Private parking is advertised within the estate. Access routes and guests’ particular requirements should be checked during a viewing.
