A setting to celebrate your story

A wedding at Château Salavaux
In Salavaux in the canton of Vaud, the château-hotel offers weddings and ceremonies followed by an aperitif, with an event hall, terrace and on-site dining. The historic property lies in the Three Lakes region near Lake Murten and the Vully vineyards. Its Celebration page requires exclusive hire of the whole property, including bedrooms, for a wedding. Official contact: info@chateausalavaux.ch, +41 26 677 40 00.
Calendar and seasonal conditions
The dedicated page advertises weddings from October to April excluding public holidays and, in summer, on Fridays only. Its FAQ nevertheless states no weddings from May to September; the footer lists an annual hotel closure in January and February. Resolve these qualifications directly for your date: do not assume summer or closure-period availability. Ceremonies and aperitifs are advertised year-round, but ceremonies take place exclusively in the indoor hall. Aperitifs may use the terrace in fine weather, with the hall as the backup.
Separate rooms and capacities
The event hall covers 213 m², including a 40 m² raised stage. The official group page lists 80 or 100 guests depending on stage use, but its two paragraphs reverse the with/without-stage condition: have the exact layout approved. The 120 seated capacity applies to ceremonies and is not a dinner capacity. The vaulted wine cellar accommodates up to 25 diners. Two lounges, the terrace and garden may complement the event, without automatically adding capacities. An older specialist presentation lists three rooms for 12–150 people: those figures do not override the official layout-specific limits.
Food, drinks and restaurant prices
Food is prepared on site using local and seasonal products. Groups of eight or more must choose a common menu in advance; for eight to twenty-five people, a three-, four- or five-course carte blanche menu is offered. The specialist reference lists a fixed catering service; permission to bring an outside caterer is not established. The cellar offers more than 200 wines from Vully, Switzerland and Europe. Advise allergies and intolerances; obtain a written proposal for children’s meals, dietary needs, outside cake, corkage and wedding drinks.
Qualified prices, separate from exclusive hire
The official evening menu linked in September 2026 lists a tasting menu at CHF100 for three courses, CHF120 for four and CHF140 for five, per person; cheese costs CHF18 extra. Three-, four- or five-glass wine pairings cost CHF45, CHF60 or CHF70. The brunch menu linked in September 2026 lists the breakfast buffet at CHF39 per person with hot drinks and one juice; egg preparations and other dishes cost extra. These restaurant menus include 8.1% VAT and are not wedding packages, venue hire or bedroom prices. Ask whether they apply to your group and date. No current whole-property hire or wedding accommodation amount was published in the sources checked on 26 October 2026.
Accommodation, facilities and access
Historic and contemporary bedrooms include several categories and rooms with private terraces. Official pages present differing room inventories; the figure of 17 people applies to a seminar with single occupancy and is not the total wedding sleeping capacity. Confirm current bedrooms, beds, adapted rooms, breakfasts and compulsory nights. The hotel has its own car park and two charging points. A specialist profile lists 80 free spaces and accessibility: check terms, reserved bays, routes and toilets.
