Two châteaux for a wedding in Cubry

Domaine de Bournel offers genuine wedding hire in Cubry, in the Doubs. The main offer uses the 18th-century Vieux Château, its courtyard with patterned glazed roofs, vaulted room, terrace and hotel. A separate Deluxe arrangement exceptionally opens the family’s 19th-century neo-Gothic château and garden for selected events, with concierge services and personalised planning. The two arrangements do not automatically provide access to the same rooms. Wedding sequence, spaces and capacities

The 2027 wedding brochure describes preparations in a hotel suite, an outdoor symbolic ceremony in the gardens, courtyard welcome drinks, dinner in the vaulted room or on the terrace and courtyard dancing. Cubry church is described as approximately 1 km away, a ten-minute walk; religious use requires a separate agreement. Welcome drinks accommodate up to 300 standing guests. The brochure gives 120 seated guests in its general presentation, then specifies 100 in the vaulted room and 60 on the covered terrace. These figures are not added into a guaranteed total capacity. Hire and inclusions — 2027 brochure

The 2027 private-hire rates are €15,000 including tax from May to September and €12,000 including tax in March, April and October–December. January, February and the exact occupancy period are not specified. Advertised inclusions are booked salons, courtyard and park for photography, outdoor tables, chairs and parasols, dinner tables and chairs, basic decoration with candleholders, LED candles, lamps and bud vases, event service, cleaning before and afterwards, and supplier coordination. The following page also lists €15,000 for the château and courtyard, plus €3,000 for private use of the ceremony gardens. Confirm the precise booked areas and options in your quotation.

Meals, drinks and 2027 packages

The 2027 rates start at €15 including tax per person for welcome-drink canapés, €85 including tax per person for the wedding menu and €49 including tax per person for next-day brunch. Bottles start at €27 including tax for wine, €39 for crémant and €69 for champagne. The all-inclusive package comprises the venue, welcome drinks, dinner with drinks, open bar, brunch, service and cleaning: from €21,000 for fewer than 50 people and €25,000 for fewer than 100 people. The published thresholds mean fewer than, not minimum numbers, and establish no rate for exactly 50 or 100 guests. This package page does not repeat its own tax treatment.

Food and supplier choices

The chef cooks on site using seasonal ingredients, including estate-grown produce and nearby suppliers. The 2027 Classic menu offers duck terrine, salmon tartare or warm goat’s cheese, followed by veal, cod or poultry; vegetarian alternatives include courgette carpaccio and quinoa risotto. The final course is regional cheese or dessert, while a croquembouche is quoted separately. The example brunch includes pastries, bread, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, cheese, cold meats, salads, hot drinks and juice. Menus can be customised; agree allergens, special diets, children’s meals and quantities. The brochure requires designated providers for catering, drinks and fireworks; other professionals, including photographers, DJs and florists, may be selected freely or recommended by the estate. No statutory fireworks approval is assumed.

Hotel, overnight stays and supplements

The current website describes 16 bedrooms, including four suites: eight doubles, four twins, two prestige suites and two family suites for three to four people. Attic Classic rooms are on the second floor, Superior rooms on the first and suites in the tower. The 2027 brochure contains an inconsistency: one paragraph mentions twenty bedrooms, while the discounted rate requires booking all 16 bedrooms. No total sleeping capacity is therefore guaranteed. The 2027 rate is €160 including tax per room per night only when all 16 rooms are booked. Separately, the website advertises €3,000 for the entire hotel for one night without a year or tax detail; do not combine or equate these offers.

Comfort, access and hours

Bedrooms have private bathrooms, television, Wi-Fi, kettles and hairdryers and are non-smoking. The hotel page lists buffet breakfast at €25 per person from 8–10am, visitor tax of €0.66 per person, an extra bed at €25, a cot at €15 on request and pets from €25. The time unit of these supplements is not specified and must be confirmed. Hotel reception is advertised from 9am–5pm, with reservations before 4pm the previous day. The website also announces seasonal closure of the hotel, bar and restaurant to the public, while offering private events year-round by agreement; this does not guarantee availability on every date.

Organisation and points to confirm

The brochure’s contact address is 1 rue du Château, 25680 Cubry. On-site parking is advertised; commercial information mentions 150 spaces, to be checked against arrival arrangements. Road access includes the A36, exit 5 Baume-les-Dames, then the D50. Step-free accessibility is not certified here: reviewed information differs between rooms; request routes, toilets, floors and conditions for your chosen space. Seminar rooms must not be confused with banquet capacities: Plénière 150 m², Rubis 60 m², Arcades 90 m² and two small rooms of 15 and 25 m². An 18-hole golf course and wellbeing activities may complement the stay through separate bookings. Agree advance payment, deposit, balance deadline, cancellation, insurance, music, setup and finish times in the contract. An undated commercial indication lists service at €500 per hour after 2am; reconfirm it rather than assuming unrestricted hours.

The wedding webpage advertises hire from €10,000 and a Deluxe neo-Gothic château arrangement from €29,000, without a stated year or duration. These indications do not replace the detailed rates and scope in the 2027 brochure.
