A wedding estate in Isère

Domaine de Dolomieu combines a seventeenth-century château, 20 hectares of parkland and hotel buildings in Dolomieu, between Lyon, Chambéry and Grenoble in France. The official wedding offer includes outdoor symbolic ceremonies, drinks receptions and brunch, with partial or full private hire depending on the project. The historic château and modern spaces serve different purposes: agree which rooms, outdoor areas and accommodation are reserved for your party.

L’Orangeraie and the nomad tent

L’Orangeraie, created in the former stables in 2025, provides 200 square metres: official limits are 110 for a banquet, 140 for drinks or 150 theatre-style. Wedding information also describes 90 diners with a dance floor; confirm your specific layout. The nomad tent, introduced in 2026, is listed for 472 standing guests or 298 theatre-style. The official table gives no seated limit; wedding material indicates 250 guests depending on setup. These are alternative configurations, never capacities to add together.

Additional rooms and layouts

La Fabrik, in the Cyprès building, has 150 square metres divided into Fabrik 1, 70 square metres, and Fabrik 2, 80 square metres. The website lists 40 and 30 banquet places, or 50 and 40 standing respectively; the combined room accommodates 100 theatre-style or standing. Le Kube has 135 square metres for 90 theatre-style or standing and 60 classroom-style. In the château, Buffières has 100 square metres for 60 theatre-style or 50 standing; Lombard has 32 square metres for 12 in clusters and Marguerite 36 for 10. La Fabrik includes LED panels and audio. Request a wet-weather plan, circulation routes and technical layout without counting subdivided rooms twice.

Food, menus and wedding budget

La Table de Déodat in the château and Le 205 brasserie in the Cyprès building provide the estate’s restaurant services. Wedding catering needs its own quotation. Specialist information reviewed in October 2026 describes required catering and indicative wedding menus at €75–150 per guest, without explicit VAT or seasonal details. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal adaptations require agreement. Charges of €10 for outside wine and €15 for champagne are mentioned without a sufficiently clear unit: confirm corkage terms. Official gastronomic menus at €65, €75, €95 and €115 are restaurant prices, not wedding packages. Request a dated quotation covering minimum numbers, drinks, cake, staffing, furniture, cleaning and extras.

Accommodation and extending your stay

The official website lists 61 bedrooms and up to 135 overnight guests across Au Château, Aux Cyprès and Aux Cèdres. Options range from double rooms to family suites and apartments; confirm an actual room allocation. Aux Cèdres offers 20-square-metre doubles, 25-square-metre triples and 45-square-metre apartments. Website breakfast prices are €25 per adult, €14 for children aged 4–12 and free under four, served from 7 to 10:30 am. The Sothys spa is for guests over 16; time slots and inclusions depend on the building and booking. Pools, golf and treatments are not automatically included in wedding hire.

Access, timing and terms

Address: 205 Rue du Château, 38110 Dolomieu, France. The estate lists 60 parking spaces in two car parks gated at night, with electric charging at €15 per day. La Tour-du-Pin railway station is stated to be 9 km away and Lyon airport 50 km. Tourist information describes accessible facilities, a lift and an adapted bedroom; check routes to the ceremony, reception room and toilets for each guest’s needs. Wedding information indicates a 4 am finish and payment of 50% on signing followed by 50% one month before the wedding.
