Domaine des Moures hosts weddings and private events in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, south of Montpellier. This former seventeenth-century silkworm farm combines stone buildings, gardens and an open landscape overlooking the lagoons. Its indoor and outdoor spaces offer different settings for a ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and evening party on the same estate.
Reception rooms, marquee and terraces
Indoor spaces range from 100 to 250 square metres and are advertised for up to 200 seated guests depending on the configuration. The 375-square-metre crystal marquee makes receptions of up to 400 seated guests possible. The appropriate capacity depends on the booked space, dance floor, furniture and weather-backup plan; attendance figures for large outdoor events are not the capacity of a dinner in the reception room.
The estate has extensive gardens and terraces, including a 225-square-metre timber area and a 90-square-metre terrace. The waterside setting, meadows and chapel surroundings provide several backdrops for photographs and ceremonies. Use of these areas depends on the weather and technical arrangements.
Planning the wedding
A dedicated contact assists with the project and coordination of suppliers. Catering, security, cleaning and setup arrangements must be detailed in the chosen quotation. Parking is available on the estate; guest arrivals and possible shuttle services can be planned beforehand. Music hours and any additional equipment should be confirmed during the visit.
Accommodation and budget
Three guest rooms are available on site. They accommodate a small number of close guests rather than an entire large wedding party. Indicative venue hire starts at €5,500. The final price depends on the spaces, season, duration and services; meals and overnight stays should not be assumed included.

The property is on chemin des Moures in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, near Montpellier and the coast. The GPS position published by the estate identifies the property’s access rather than the centre of the town.
