Weddings at Domaine Moka in Sainte-Marie

In Sainte-Marie, above Rivière des Pluies, Domaine Moka offers reception spaces around a nineteenth-century Creole manor house, verandas and gardens. The restaurant, reception hall and lower lawn are separate booking options. Weddings, birthdays, christenings, cocktails and seminars are advertised. The historic agricultural estate and the areas actually hired are different boundaries: specify the layout and included spaces in your contract.

Three offers with different capacities

Reception hall: the official page distinguishes 240 seated and 300 standing guests. It describes a 250 m² hall, a 175 m² veranda with sixty seats, a 100 m² DJ and dance-floor or seminar space, and a small 15 m² room. The professional 100 m² layout accommodates seventy with tables and chairs. Do not automatically combine these capacities; the contract sets the permitted number in the reserved spaces.

Restaurant and veranda: sixty indoor seats and sixty on the veranda are advertised, with a booking option for up to 120 guests. The restaurant serves Réunion and mainland French cuisine and advertises Sunday brunches. Another presentation describes eighty covers: request the actual layout, catering and any dancing area for your event.

Lower lawn: 1,000 m² advertised for 600 seated or 1,000 standing guests, depending on installation. One 300 m² Bedouin tent supports around 150 dining guests; it does not cover all 600 lawn seats. Tents are supplied bare: lighting, flowers, furniture, linen and crockery are not automatically included. Agree a weather contingency with the property. The veranda and restaurant must be specified within this option without assuming exclusive use of every building.

A documented reception offer also describes an air-conditioned hall for two hundred guests, reduced to 150 with DJ and dance floor, and grouped services with furniture, tents or a stage. This layout differs from official hire with separately priced options: do not transfer its inclusions to your quotation. Additional equipment and possible helicopter arrival require specific confirmation.

Displayed official prices: excluding tax, per booking

The configurators accessible on 12 October 2026 show the following amounts in euros excluding tax. They are not per-guest prices, do not establish a guaranteed standard duration, and remain subject to quotation, dates and approval. Some terms describe cleaning and the catering area as included, while configurators show additional lines: request an itemised written summary to avoid counting them twice.

Hall hire: up to one hundred guests, €3,000 excluding tax; up to 150, €3,500; up to two hundred, €4,500; up to three hundred, €6,000. The seventy-person professional option shows €2,800 excluding tax. Cleaning: €350 excluding tax; catering area: €650 excluding tax. Tables and chairs are optional and excluded from the displayed total; tents and special requests are priced separately.

Restaurant and veranda: booking for up to 120 guests shows €5,500 excluding tax, with cleaning at €300 and catering area at €900 excluding tax in the configurator. Specify tables, chairs, meals and drinks in your quotation; this is not a restaurant menu price or an all-inclusive catering package.

Lower area: up to 150 guests, €5,500 excluding tax; up to three hundred, €7,600; up to six hundred, €11,300. Corresponding cleaning lines are €300, €400 and €500 excluding tax, and catering-area lines €900, €1,000 and €1,200 for the same tiers. One Bedouin tent is listed at €3,000 excluding tax, two at €5,800 and three at €8,600. The label describes a 300 m² tent; confirm covered capacity, installation and other charges for the selected quantity. Furniture, lighting, decoration and specific requests are not included by default.

Suppliers, equipment and preparation

Clients may choose caterers and other professionals; the property asks to know their identities before the event. A technical catering area and electricity for the hall’s general operation are described. Exceptional power needs may require a generator or additional charge. Wi-Fi and adapted access for people with reduced mobility are documented; check network coverage and routes to each reserved space.

Official parking is advertised at 350 spaces; the lawn terms mention 400. Another description refers to seven hundred vehicles, which is not a guaranteed capacity. Use your package’s parking plan. Vehicles must remain in designated areas; the property disclaims custody of objects and vehicles. No current on-site accommodation or bedroom count is established in the reviewed pages: arrange lodging and transfers separately.

Published booking terms, hours and restrictions

Published terms require a 40% deposit on the tax-inclusive amount and a €2,500 security deposit. The booking file includes signed quotation and terms, requested documents and organiser liability insurance covering installation, event and dismantling. Insurance is requested at least fifteen days beforehand; the text indicates balance payment by cheque or bank transfer at least thirty working days before the event, with imperfect original wording, so obtain clear written deadlines.

Entry and departure times are contractual, with opening and closing by the property and check-in/out inventories. Overruns are listed at €100 including tax per started hour. Form time choices do not guarantee permission for every offered slot. Terms specify an 80 dB sound threshold and restrictions after midnight to protect neighbours; ask about technical arrangements and applicable limitations. A general 02:00 music finishing time is not asserted.

The charter prohibits confetti, fireworks, torches and straw decoration; installations on lawns and trees require written approval. Decorations must be removed, rubbish and empty bottles taken away by the client or caterer, and spaces returned undamaged. Animals are advertised as prohibited. Deliveries require advance notice; modifications to water and electricity systems, subletting and obstruction of emergency exits are prohibited in the terms.

Displayed cancellation terms retain deposits more than forty-five days ahead, charge 85% of the tax-inclusive amount between thirty-one and forty-five days, then 100% less than thirty days ahead. A date change is treated as cancellation unless postponement is accepted; a specific clause allows penalty-free postponement for a public-health force-majeure crisis. Confirm the version, deadlines and terms actually applicable to your contract. The property’s use of reception photographs may be refused in writing under the document; clarify the scope of that permission with guests.

Address, access and contacts

295 chemin Fontaine, 97438 Sainte-Marie, Réunion, France. The marker identifies the building named Domaine Moka, with matching name, street number and website, rather than the town centre. Some map records show another postcode; the official 97438 address is used. Tourism access information says to follow signs to Moka at the final roundabout on the Rivière des Pluies road. Check routes, vehicles and access with the property.

Cross-checked professional phone: +262 692 78 78 05. Email published in the property’s terms: contact@domainemoka.re. For quotations use the official booking forms and consult offers and terms. Facebook DomaineMoka is linked from the official website; no other account is attributed without confirmation. Current restaurant hours differ between presentations: contact the venue for your chosen service without confusing restaurant opening and hire availability.

How are reviews verified?
  1. An account with a verified email address

The author posts from their wedding account using a confirmed email address. Their email address and contact details are never displayed in the review.

  2. A collaboration confirmed before the event

The client and the professional must have confirmed their collaboration on VENUIVO before the event date. Simply adding a favourite or requesting a quote is not enough.

  3. A review after the event

A review can only be published after the scheduled date for a confirmed collaboration that has not been cancelled. Only one review may be published per collaboration.

  4. The same rules for all reviews

Positive and negative reviews are assessed using the same criteria. Abusive or promotional content and content containing private contact details are rejected. Reviews can be reported, and the professional can respond.

These checks make reviews more reliable. They confirm the collaboration process on VENUIVO; the assessment remains the author’s own.
