A setting to celebrate your story

A historic cinema for professional events
At 25 Boulevard Georges-Clémenceau in La Ciotat, Eden Théâtre offers its auditorium and courtyard for conventions, meetings and seminars. The team also considers private screenings and cinema-themed VIP evenings. The City-owned cinema is operated by the Les Lumières de l’Eden association. A year-round public programme means private-hire projects are arranged with a working cinema team.
An auditorium and courtyard cocktails
The official professional-events page advertises a maximum of 208 seats plus five spaces for guests with reduced mobility. The tourism business-events brochure gives a total of 213. Another tourist listing mentions 161 seats, so the capacity actually available must be confirmed for the project. These figures describe a screening auditorium; no equivalent banquet capacity is advertised.
The courtyard, which has a sea view, can accommodate a cocktail reception. The auditorium, courtyard or both can be hired privately, according to the agreed scope. The projection booth supports 35 mm, digital and 3D formats; in-room Wi-Fi is listed by the tourist office. Content formats, the running order and support requirements should be discussed with the team.
A cultural programme by arrangement
A project can combine an introduction to the building, a visit and a private screening. Evenings featuring a cinema personality are among the advertised possibilities, with availability and the programme to be discussed. Private-hire services are offered on request. Public film-ticket prices are not rental rates for the auditorium or courtyard.
A venue connected to cinema history
Opened as a theatre on 15 June 1889, Eden hosted a paid screening of Lumière films on 21 March 1899. Restored and reopened in 2013, it combines this heritage with an art-house film programme and activities for young audiences. Private visits can accompany an event, with the programme agreed directly with the venue.
Access and organisation
The cinema is in the town centre near the marina. Buses 351, 352, 353 and 357 serve the L’Eden stop, about a two-minute walk away. The Port de Plaisance and Centre car parks are nearby. A lift serves the auditorium and accessible toilets are available. Professional enquiries can be sent to administration@edencinemalaciotat.com or made on +33 4 88 42 17 60.
