In Le François, Habitation Clément offers a Martinican heritage setting for a wedding reception. The estate brings together a historic Creole residence listed as a Monument historique, a large tropical garden, buildings associated with its former sugar and rum production, and contemporary art spaces. Martinique Tourisme names the site among venues suitable for wedding receptions with a cultural dimension.

An estate combining heritage, art and gardens

The visitor route passes through a garden of around 16 hectares featuring several hundred tropical species and contemporary sculptures. The main house, outbuildings, former distillery and exhibition spaces form a distinctive ensemble. The exhibition rooms are advertised as accessible to people with reduced mobility. A picnic area and a reading room with Wi-Fi are also listed among the visitor facilities.

Planning a reception

The operator does not publish capacities, the spaces that can actually be hired exclusively, or wedding prices. Request a written proposal specifying the permitted capacity, areas accessible to guests, furniture, catering, drinks, parking, electricity, sound equipment, timings, security, cleaning and a contingency solution for bad weather. It is also useful to confirm restrictions relating to the heritage designation, exhibited artworks, the garden and the movement of public visitors.
