A setting to celebrate your story
Full presentation
A wedding in an Art Deco house in Sainte-Rose
Habitation du Comté is a three-star boutique hotel at Comté de Lohéac in Sainte-Rose, in northern Basse-Terre. Built in 1948, the Art Deco main house stands on a hill within a tropical park planted with saman trees, flamboyants, mango trees and palms. The establishment explicitly offers a banquet hall and reception spaces for weddings, birthdays and seminars. The setting combines a historic building, gardens and views of the countryside, mountains and Caribbean Sea.
Hall, terrace and garden: plan your layout
The offered spaces comprise a hall, a terrace and a large garden, with decoration adapted to your project. Chair and table hire is advertised. The consulted pages do not state floor areas, seated or standing guest capacities, or the size of a dance floor: request a plan and a written capacity for dinner, cocktails and circulation. No combined capacity or minimum guest count is inferred. Booking an event does not establish exclusive use of the entire hotel and its accommodation.
Reception services and organisation
Before booking, confirm the included spaces, a wet-weather backup, setup and dismantling, crockery and linen, sound, lighting, a DJ, toilets, safety and pool rules. Available information does not guarantee an on-site symbolic ceremony, reception audiovisual equipment or unrestricted late-night use. Agree catering arrangements, group menus, drinks, corkage, children’s charges, an external wedding cake and brunch with the establishment. Accommodation pages mention restaurant and breakfast services, but do not establish a wedding catering package or unrestricted use of outside caterers.
Accommodation: seven rooms and two separate rentals
The official hotel presentation states seven rooms over two floors, plus a bungalow-villa and a villa. Room layouts vary. Air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi, a safe, hairdryer and mini-fridge are detailed by category. Hotel amenities include baby equipment, notably a cot and high chair, luggage storage, board games, billiards and table football; confirm availability and whether they are included in a reception. A pool does not guarantee access for guests who are not staying overnight. No total bed capacity is calculated from the categories below.
Rooms: floor areas, occupancy and nightly prices
The following amounts were checked on 14 October 2026. They are starting accommodation prices per room per night, not wedding hire prices or amounts per reception guest. Reconfirm season, validity dates and tax treatment. The Standard room, 20 m², sleeps at most two people, with a king-size bed and garden view, from €120 per night. The upstairs Superior Garden View room, 25 m², for two people with a king-size bed, is advertised from €140. A second Superior Garden View page, also 25 m² for two, advertises from €170: these offers are kept separate without assuming they are interchangeable.
The Superior Pool View room measures 32 m² and advertises up to four people, a king-size bed and pool, garden and sea views, from €170 per night. The Family Double, 51 m², for at most four people, includes a smaller room adjoining the main room and a king-size bed, with pool, garden and sea views, from €210. These room pages advertise included breakfast and a reduction from five nights, without a verified discount amount. Confirm the exact bed configuration and any additional sleeping arrangements before allocating rooms to your guests.
Bungalow-villa and Villa Belle Cabresse
The bungalow-villa is advertised as 80 m² for four people; a fifth requires a request. It comprises two bedrooms with private shower rooms and toilets, king-size and queen-size beds, an equipped outdoor kitchen, terrace, dining area and living space. A small plunge pool is presented. Prices start at €180 per night, with a two-night minimum; ask about arrangements for two people and a reduction from five nights. This accommodation kitchen is not presented as a professional kitchen available to a wedding caterer.
Villa Belle Cabresse stands on a separate property next to the hotel. Its L-shaped layout includes an equipped open-plan kitchen, living room, television, Wi-Fi and dining area. One air-conditioned bedroom has a 160 × 200 cm bed, dressing area, shower room and toilet; a ventilated mezzanine with a 160 × 200 cm bed has no private sanitary facilities and is described for children, whose access and safety arrangements should be checked. A second independent air-conditioned bedroom, with a 160 × 200 cm bed and sanitary facilities, opens onto the covered terrace. The private infinity pool measures 4 × 8 m. The equipment page lists 80 m², a floor area to confirm for this villa.
The villa is advertised for six people, from €250 per night with a four-night minimum. Arrangements for two people and a reduction from five nights are on request. Only the first breakfast is advertised as complimentary at the hotel; clarify subsequent breakfast, restaurant and hotel service arrangements without treating them all as included. Published terms state a €120 cleaning charge per stay and a €500 security deposit by cheque or cash for Belle Cabresse, returned after the departure inspection.
Hotel booking terms, separate from wedding terms
Reception prices, hire duration, a minimum guest count, inclusions and event extras are not stated on the consulted pages: request an itemised quotation and written wedding terms. For accommodation, published terms provide for a 30% advance payment, a valid credit card and the balance on arrival, with a card imprint as security. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are listed. The establishment states a tourist tax of €1 per day per person, excluding minors, not included; reconfirm this published amount for your booked dates.
Accommodation cancellation terms state that more than 30 days ahead the advance is retained, with rescheduling possible subject to availability; 29–14 days ahead, 50%; 13–8 days, 75%; less than seven days, 100%. Unspecified periods, notably the seventh day, are not filled in by inference. Ask for clarification of the clause referring to cancellation 48 hours after booking; it does not establish general free cancellation. Started stays and no-shows are advertised as payable in full. These hotel arrangements are not presented as your reception contract: clarify the wedding advance, deposit, payment, insurance, rescheduling and cancellation.
Hours, restrictions and accessibility
For accommodation, check-in starts at 13:00 and check-out is at 11:00. The hotel reception closes from 15:00 to 17:30; notify the hotel of arrivals after 20:00. Breakfast is advertised from 07:00 to 10:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 10:00 at weekends, with a tray possible on request for early departures. These accommodation hours do not set wedding setup, music, reception closing or brunch times, which must be agreed separately. Room occupants must be registered and visitors declared.
The establishment’s terms prohibit pets and smoking or vaping indoors; candles and incense are prohibited in bedrooms. One accessible room for two people is officially advertised: this does not guarantee accessibility of every hall, reception toilet, garden area or accommodation unit. Arrange a site check suited to your guests’ needs. On-site parking is advertised as free, without reservation. Wi-Fi is described as a fibre connection that may be unstable; no uninterrupted event service is promised.
