A historic villa and orangery in Malmerspach

La Villa des Hêtres Pourpres welcomes weddings in Malmerspach, at the foot of the Vosges mountains in the Haut-Rhin area of Alsace. Built in the 1890s and formerly associated with the Schlumpf family, the house has been renovated for stays and events. A historic villa, tree-filled grounds and a contemporary orangery give couples several settings for the different stages of their celebration.

Reception spaces and a covered alternative

The orangery has large windows overlooking the park. The venue’s dedicated wedding page states a maximum of 190 guests for dinner or 260 for a standing reception, with furniture and a caterer’s preparation area available. The grounds can be used for a non-religious ceremony, drinks and group photographs. A 150-square-metre stretch tent provides a covered alternative, equipped with flooring, side closures, heating and a bar. The final guest capacity should be confirmed for the chosen layout and event programme.

Accommodation and wedding arrangements

The villa has seven bedrooms with private bathrooms, including a bridal suite, and sleeps 15 people. Shared facilities include a lounge, a games room and an equipped kitchen. Certain estate-hire packages also offer 20 additional sleeping places at the Ô fil de la Thur holiday cottages. These are separate from the accommodation inside the villa, so the allocation should be considered when planning transport and overnight stays.

Weekday, weekend and low-season arrangements are offered according to the selected package. Wedding-day coordination is also available as an additional service.
