A wedding venue on the western edge of Brussels

Waerboom is an event venue with a hotel in Groot-Bijgaarden, part of the municipality of Dilbeek. This family business hosts weddings and other private celebrations in green surroundings west of Brussels. The buildings have a country farmhouse character, with stone finishes, timber beams and warm reception interiors. Courtyards, terraces and gardens provide different settings for the stages of a wedding day.

Choosing a room for your guest list

The current private-event packages are organised by dinner guest numbers. For larger groups, the Schuur is offered for 160 to 280 dinner guests, while the Rubens room caters for 140 to 260. Other arrangements suit smaller celebrations, including options for 40 to 70 and 70 to 140 guests. The final room choice depends on the programme, table plan and space required for the evening party.

Waerboom offers a coordinated event concept covering the room, tables, chairs, table linen and practical organisation. Its team assists with preparations and the timetable. Couples can involve their own partners for flowers, photography or wedding planning, while Waerboom supplies the catering itself.

In-house food and overnight stays

The kitchen offers formats such as walking dinners, buffets and served banquets. Its approach draws on French-Belgian cooking with international influences. Outside caterers are not permitted. Menus, dietary requirements, drinks and service arrangements should therefore be discussed during the quotation process so that the meal fits the party’s requirements.

The hotel allows guests to stay at the same venue. According to the current hotel information, rooms on Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for guests attending an event. This can be convenient for family and friends travelling from further away. Room availability and any booking arrangements need to be confirmed separately.

Practical planning

The address is Jozef Mertensstraat 140, 1702 Groot-Bijgaarden. The venue provides free parking for 400 cars and charging points for electric vehicles, as well as Wi-Fi.
