Weddings at the Widder Hotel in Zurich

On Rennweg in Zurich’s Old Town, the Widder Hotel brings together historic townhouses and contemporary design. Couples can choose between several indoor event rooms and a landscaped courtyard. The hotel also has 49 individually designed rooms and suites, making it possible to arrange the celebration and overnight accommodation in one place.

The 200-square-metre Widder Saal accommodates up to 180 guests at round tables for a seated meal. The hotel specifies a capacity of 250 for an aperitif reception. Parquet flooring, wall panelling and old stone walls characterise the room, which has a separate entrance from Augustinergasse. Smaller celebrations can use spaces such as the Zunft Stube, Erzberg Stube or pavilion. The Widder Garden provides an outdoor reception setting for up to 140 guests.

The events team helps with planning and prepares menu and drinks proposals. Food and drinks are generally supplied by the hotel, with special requests agreed in advance. Equipment, music, decoration and any extension of the event should also be included in the individual quotation.

According to the hotel, Zurich main station is approximately 650 metres away. The nearby Rennweg tram stop provides another convenient arrival option. A venue visit is useful for agreeing the final seating arrangement, dance area, room allocation and proposed use of the garden.
