Een omgeving om jullie verhaal te vieren
Volledige presentatie
The Maison de Nostradamus occupies part of the house purchased by Michel de Nostredame in 1547, in Salon-de-Provence’s old town below the Château de l’Empéri. Established in 1992, this municipal museum introduces the Provençal Renaissance through the humanist’s life, writings and intellectual surroundings. The route explores his work as a physician, his publications and his relationships with prominent figures of his time.
The museum visit uses narrated scenes and interpretation displays. Original documents and objects may be presented in temporary exhibitions exploring different aspects of Nostradamus and the sixteenth century. A book and souvenir shop complements the visit. Cultural activities advertised by the museum include guided tours, theatrical and evening or night-time visits, escape games and investigation games, depending on the programme and subject to advance booking.
From 21 September 2026 to 21 May 2027, the Maison is open exclusively to groups for guided visits booked in advance. This condition is central to planning a visit: requests should be sent to the team, which confirms the date, format and admission arrangements. The museum also provides educational activities for pupils from nursery school through secondary school. Group size, the chosen content and any individual requirements should be discussed when making the arrangements, particularly during the current period of group-only opening.
Published prices distinguish the different activities: self-guided admission is listed at €6, an individual guided visit at €9, theatrical or night-time visits at €11, and escape games or investigation games at €13. These figures relate to the activities offered and are not venue hire rates. Groups should request their applicable conditions directly from the museum. For information, call +33 4 90 56 64 31 or email m.nostradamus@salondeprovence.fr. The address is rue Nostradamus, 13300 Salon-de-Provence, within the historic town and close to its other heritage sites. The team can advise which visit format is available for the proposed date and audience.
