A municipal estate for cultural events
In southern Vitrolles, Domaine de Fontblanche brings together a theatre, an exhibition room and parkland beside the Cadière river. The City offers these spaces to associations, organisations and businesses, subject to the proposed project and municipal conditions. They are particularly suited to performances, concerts and exhibitions. A published rate for an organiser category does not replace the requirement for an event to be accepted.
A flexible auditorium and a tree-lined park
Renovated in 2012, the municipal theatre has 176 seats and retractable tiered seating, allowing a cabaret layout. The selected plan must be agreed with the technical team. The exhibition room is on the ground floor of the main building; the park area available for hire comprises the grounds in front of it and the adjoining meadows. These are three separate space-hire options.
The former agricultural estate retains an avenue of plane trees. Its park hosts outdoor events, including the Charlie Jazz Festival, and provides shaded surroundings around the building. The municipal 2026–2027 programme confirms the continuing cultural activity of the theatre and estate.
Municipal rates applicable in 2026
The schedule effective from 1 January 2026 charges per day of public admission, according to the space, the organiser’s location and whether admission is charged. For businesses, either the park or theatre costs €1,034 for a Vitrolles-based company and €2,067 for an outside company. The exhibition room costs €259 or €517 respectively. Association rates are detailed in the profile, with some exemptions for local organisations.
Technical services and preparation
The theatre hire rate covers a bare stage, without sound, lighting or a technician. Published options are €311 for sound, €311 for lighting subject to equipment availability and €517 for the video package. A performance technician costs €414 per day. The offered sound system is not suitable for dance parties. If cleaning has not been completed, reinstatement is charged at actual cost.
Access and enquiries
The estate is at 4 Allée des Artistes. Public parking is nearby, and the theatre has accessible toilets. The accessible route and selected layout can be discussed with the City’s Culture and Heritage Department on +33 4 42 02 46 50 or at culture.vitrolles@ville-vitrolles13.fr. Setup, performance and removal times must be agreed for each booking.
